I like the way they work and they have alerted me to a power failure twice but one can hardly hear them. They're not loud enough to hear from a different room. It's nice to have the different alarm settings because I have one plugged in to a freezer and the other to a dehumidifier so I really know which has the failure.

Just be aware that if you plug this into a standard duplex receptacle , you CANNOT use the other outlet , it partially blocks it. A 3 prong grounded plug will not fit

Bought this primarily because you can change the different siren sounds. Mine was defective and would not change sounds. The one that works is too much like the burglar alarm so I am returning it.

I have a fuse go out in the garage before and didn't know about it. Freezer in the garage was not running and lost all my meat. I know have this plugged in the same circuit in my kitchen. When power or fuse it trip you will know. It's loud, although you can turn volum down but I want it loud so I will know for sure.

This plug-in gfi power loss indicator works exactly as expected. Should the power go down to our water sanitization system there is an alarm sufficiently loud that we can hear it from the 2nd floor in our cottage.Since the indicator installation we have had the opportunity to test the power loss alarm an it exactly what we needed to keep us informed when the power goes down. Highly recommend this plug. However, I will see how well the sound indicator holds up over time.The only reason this indicator did not get a 5 star rating is because I don't know how well the high-pitched sound will hold up over time.
