These have changed my life lol powers lights, camera, monitors for hours. I have total mobility and long extended power no stopping to change batteries. I have 4 of them they have been a great investment. I also use the Powerextra Sony batteries which also gave a lot of battery time. I am a fan of Powerextra they've made my work easier.

I had one that stopped working, but the company sent me a replacement and it works very well! I still think this battery is a bit of an odd shape. I have several V-mount batteries, this is the only one that has this many options as far as ports. It is very good to have!

For those who are wondering how the Powerextra V Mount V Lock Battery - 222Wh 14.8V 15000mAh Rechargeable Battery performs on the SmallRig 220D. In summary, with a brand new battery fully charged, I got ~1hr of use on the SmallRig 220D at 100% power. This battery states it has a 10a max limit and the SmallRig 220D has 13a operating current in the spec sheet. I saw the under power icon on the back of the light and according to the SmallRig spec sheet if you use a 14.4v vmount battery the light's output would be reduced by 50%, this battery is 14.8v. I'm not an electrician so I can't speak to any of those numbers so I'll leave that to the people who know. I compared side by side (metered with my camera) the light's output running on the V-mount battery with one that was plugged into an outlet and the brightness with the light plugged into the outlet was 1/3 - 2/3 stops brighter, not scientific just sharing what I experienced.

This thing is big and fairly heavy, but it allowed my Sony Alpha 7 record with an Atomos Ninja V almost a full 8 hours nonstop. Both devices were powered with a V mount adapter to D-Taps, but I could have used the two D-Taps right from the battery. There are also USB ports on this that would allow me to run more stuff or charge my phone. Very pleased with the price and the device. I will be buying another battery only so I can charge one and have one on my rig.

I've read plenty of Amazon reviews on this item. Some complain about the size. Some say it doesn't produce 220 Wh. Here's my take on it. If your goal is to stretch your budget as far as you can this has the most value in comparison to other brands. Yes, I wish it was smaller however I'm paying almost $100 less than other brands that have less battery capacity and less ports. This battery has two USB ports and two Dtaps. You could literally buy a v mount that doesn't have d taps on it. You could run everything from the battery body. I have not stressed test it yet nor do I know it's shelf life, however if your rig has multiple items that need a power source away from outlets, you won't mind the size for what it provides. Technically the battery is larger than my camera body, however it allows me to possibly never have to find and ac outlet. Good luck on your decision. In the picture, the battery to the left cost me almost $70 more with a 32 wh less than the battery to the right.

These batteries last a LONG time! They are big and heavy, but unlike most other V mount batteries they come with their own charger.2 negatives I can think of are the battery indicator and charging time. Battery indicator is not reliable at all. The lights would go down to zero and the batteries kept going for several more hours. So dont rely on the blue lights to tell you how much juice you have left. The charging times are between 6-8 hours in my experience. So charge them overnight.I use these for my Aputure 60 X lights. The balance is fine, although if you set your lights high on a stand just be careful. But battery life is amazing. I get about 8 hours at 40% brightness or 2 -3 hours on 100% brightness. Overall I highly recommend these batteries.
