I love this crimper with included sleeves. I have found that I can make much more reliable splices if I crimp one of these sleeves onto my wire first. Then I slide the crimped sleeve into an insulated crimp-style wire connector or wire terminal, and use a conventional terminal crimp tool to swage it.

Works great. Be sure to make sure the wire diameter fits into the appropriate size fitting. Also make sure prior to applying the fittings to ensure the outer diameter will fit into the slot you are using. I found this iut after selecting a size that fit my wire but the had to cut off as the diameter wouldn't fit into the waterproof receptacle I was using.The alternative is to tin the wires.Will be useful in areas I will likely change wiring or devices without ending up with frayed wires.

They work well but I noticed that they will not fit in lever nut style connectors (my fault for assuming not the product)

The tool was easy to use and did its job without hassle. The ferrules seem to be made of a much softer/weaker metal than those from a proper electronics supply shop, and they tend to break off pretty easily. They'll work, but I would not trust them for high consequence jobs.

I've been using those crimpers for a few days now and i must say that i really love them. They make very solid crimps and are very easy to use. I love the eight-sided feature. It makes the cable musch easier to connect in a connector.

This is a good ferrule crimping kit for stranded wires, but I wish it had more of the useful sized ferrules.They give you a lot of the tiny sized wire ferrules in order to make this a 1300pcs kit, but you'll never have any use for those micro sized ferrules.Would have much preferred more of the useful sized 24-18AWG ferrules.

I've always struggled with crimps, and now I needed to install ferrules for a new project in a motorhome. Ferrules were recommend for installing the wires to a solar charger controller. This tool for crimping ferrules is excellent. The first test crimps I made were perfect. It's a well made tool, good size for my tool box, plus a large assortment of single and double ferrules connector for a reasonable price. This made this part of the project easy!

They are still far from being good, but they have improve much better from their 8 jaws version. This one is much more circular/octogonal instead of being crushed. That alone deserves the praise.

This is great for those Arduino terminal blocks with either a square or circular hole. The eight-sided design is more versatile as the rounded option will fit either but a square 4-sided isn't as flexible. I'm seen 6-sided and figured more couldn't hurt rounding out the termination.The product listing says up to 20AWG but the kit of ferrules has 22AWG pieces. Good for stuff like cooler fans, jumper wires, that sort of thin gauge. Delicate but as strong as the wire itself. White in my photo is 22AWG, red is 18AWG. Typical range for small electronics.Strip ends off, measure a bit to not overshoot and trim if needed, and crimp just the metal part. You can secure the tip before ratcheting down the wire. It crimps the exposed wire only, not the plastic like other styles. So if you need something say dust or water-resistant, perhaps look elsewhere or at least not this kit. For most normal tasks that can or should use ferrule connectors, the tool is invaluable.
