As a welder/fabricator I often build carts and other projects out of 1" square tubing. These caps provide a nice finished look and saves a large amount of time that traditional welded metal caps would require. There are times you need more durable welded end caps but I use these knock-in plastic caps whenever it's acceptable for the project. Good heavy soft plastic caps, not brittle hard plastic that will break on impact.

I used these to cap the ends of square tubing on my metal yard gates. After 25 years the original ones had become brittle and cracked. I had to order these twice because the first time I got the wrong size. That was my fault for not properly measuring the size I needed. Once I got the right size, they fit and worked perfectly. The depth of the collar is deep enough to get a good grip inside the tubing. Since I wanted to be sure the top caps won’t pop off and stayed water tight, I added some epoxy for good measure, but that probably wasn’t necessary. They seem to be robust. Hopefully they’ll last at least another 25 years.

A good product. They fit very nicely in square tubing. I've had these in a homemade solar set up on a camper van roof mount for a month or so. They survived a fifty mph crosswind in S. Dakota and some very rough roads as well. They appear to be a durable and perfectly functional product. Recommend these for a nice finishing touch.

Got the larger bag so I had extra for the next project. Worked great and gives it a nice finishing touch. Beats cutting and welding up solid end caps where it is not needed. Couple mallet whacks and done.

Clicking through the options I found the fitment chart and it was spot on. I needed these to replace a couple missing caps from an aluminum ladder rack. These were an absolute perfect fit! They are snug and just flexible enough to give and stay in place. I know it's not much to get excited about. but if I can get a bit more time out of this rack the few dollars I spent here will come back as more money saved in the future.
