Fit perfectly for a used high end pressure cooker that I bought at my local thrift store. I didn't notice the missing little rubber plug; fortunately Amazon and this seller had a 4 pack, so I'm thinking about going back to the thrift store to find more high end pressure cookers with possible missing plugs. I love to give useful gifts, this has possibilities, and I also have 3 spares at the very least.

I used this to plug up the hole safely on a Vintage Mirro pressure cooker that had a stripped out threaded hole where the screw in over pressure valve was originally. All Mirro's had the same size plug so it should work regardless of size or model number. I did use a file to smooth out the hole and level the edges slightly. The hole measures about 11.4mm. These plugs fit snugly but also will pop out with a firm push of a finger on the bottom inner side of plug, leading me to believe they would work as intended if the pressure cooker malfunctioned and would not release pressure. -- meaning the plug would blow before the pot would explode. My All American Pressure canner does not use this type of plug as it is a vintage model that originally had a petcock. Therefore, I cannot speak to how well it works on the brand of cooker that it was originally intended.I tested it on 5, 10 and 15lbs of pressure and it stayed in place and did not leak while under the highest pressure. If you have a vintage Mirro pressure canner and the screw in stainless steel plug has stripped out the soft metal threads (which has been known to happen) please try using an All American rubber overpressure plug in its place. If it leaks, the hole is slightly too small and needs to be filed just a hair (less than a mm or two). These plugs are supposed to be replaced about once per year or until worn out and no longer staying in place.
