This charger broke my EV car. If you don’t want to spend time and money wasted then do NOT buy this charger. I had mine 1.5 years before trouble set in. This charger allowed large surges into my car ultimately breaking it.

This level 2 charger is great!! I’m using it to charge my Jeep Wrangler 4XE…it’s able to charge much quicker than the level 1 charger that came with my Jeep, saving is more $$ on fuel :)

**12/03/2022** Nearly 1 year update (9 days shy of a full year). I am still very pleased with this purchase. The charger is working flawlessly. Our '21 Pacifica hybrid is charging from 0 to 100% in just a few short hours. There have been 0 issues and I have nothing at this point I can complain about. The cord portion lives outside the garage while the charger itself is plugged in to 220V inside the garage. Cord still looks good and makes positive clicks in to the socket on the van and the holster as it should. I will say it is the ONE item I've purchased through amazon that has been flawless. If it ever breaks, I will buy another.Writing this review after 4 months of use. So glad I bought this charger. Initially I was skeptical of the charge at the price point. But after 4 months of use it has not failed to charge and at a great rate.I've connected to 220 in my garage, the read out says it's running @16amps at 245V. Our 2021 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid charges in just over 3 hours. I can say I'm simply stunned and so happy we can run most of our morning errands, return home charge and have a fully charged battery to go pick up our son from school in the afternoon.I will buy again should the need ever arise. A+ product.

Overall it works well and does what it is supposed to most of the time. It has been pretty reliable and easy to use. Long cord has been great for my situation. The one issue is that a fault will occur which will stop charging from occurring. This seems to happen when there is a big swing in temperature and mainly when it gets cold in winter (I'm in Toronto, where the cold nights will get down into the -15 to -25 C). Happens two or three times/month from Jan - Mar. I have a PHEV so I can still drive without a full battery, and recent upgrade to my car's software now alerts me when charging is interrupted. Before that I would be disappointed to find my battery uncharged in AM. The issue is easily fixed by just unplugging and then plugging charger back in which resets the fault.Feb 2024 update: The charger died randomly. This seems like a rather disappointing lifespan for an expensive product.

This product works well and effectively charges my Chevy Volt. It has a plug-in cable; you can order whichever 240V connector type fits what you already have installed (or will get installed; check with your electrician). The order came quickly and was robustly packaged, so no damage. Thanks to the seller for an excellent product and service!! I highly recommend them and their Level 2 EV Charger.

So far, Primecom 220-240 volt 16 amp EV charger is excellent for value and ease of installation! Using this charger for 2 weeks now and it charges my 12 kwh plug-in hybrid BMW X3 in just a few hours compared to 12-14 hours using regular 110v house current. My garage already had a regular 220-240 volt NEMA 10-30 electric dryer outlet and all I had to do was plug one end into the NEMA 10-30 garage wall outlet and the other into my car. Quick and simple!IMPORTANT: this charger has a max of 16 amps ... I know there are chargers with higher amps (32 or more amps) but my X3 only accepts a max of 16 amps ... so, read your car manual and make sure you match the amperage if the charger to your cat ... even if the other chargers will match whatever amps your car takes, there’s no sense in paying for greater amps (because it won’t charge any faster than your car’s max amps). Also, if you already have a 220-240 volt outlet, make sure you order the correct plug (mine was NEMA 10-30).Included in the package is a screw-in bracket with screws to hang the cable in the garage wall and a cap to mount the standard dispenser (on the wall) that connects to your car. Some lower priced sellers of the charger did not include these accessories so, carefully study what’s included. It remains to be seen how durable and long-lasting this charger will be. Only tine will tell but for now, I’m very pleased with my purchase!

As stated in another review by Mr. Connor, this is a Duosida charger. In my opinion, it is an excellent unit. I installed an EV charging unit at my daughters house, which cost over five hundred dollars. But my electrical panel was full, there was no way to get a 240 line into my garage. My dryer plug is also too far away to run a cord to my garage from it. So after watching some videos on how to combine two 120 circuits, to get 240, I made my own 240 outlet, as pictured. But I didn't want to spend another $500 on a charging unit for my house, not knowing for sure this would work. I purchased this unit from Primecom/Amazon for $229 and everything worked just fine. It charged my EV last night much quicker than my factory 120 unit that I had been using. And, that unit was starting to apparently have problems? The cord from the outlet was getting very hot during charging. The metal "hanger" that Primecom included with this unit is also very nice. I can't say as to how much faster this unit charged my car, I do not know how to figure that, but it was faster. I would guess at least three times faster? (You should only charge your EV to 80%, if possible, which will make your batteries last much longer, or so I've read). I've read some reviews where other charging units were difficult to attach or remove from the vehicle. This unit is very smooth, attaching and being removed. I would say it is easier than my factory unit at this. I wrote this review because I'm so impressed with this charging unit.

I wanted a Level 2 EVSE for my Chevy Volt, primarily so I'd stop having to fiddle with the menus to make it charge at 12 amps every single time I drove anywhere. I was originally looking at a Duosida unit, because it had been recomended to me. But, they don't make one with the 14-50P connector I already have handy. I was just going to re-end it, when I saw this one, pre equipped with the connector I wanted, as well as the hanger. And, it was cheaper than the Duosida once I accounted for the cost of the connector I'd need to buy, and the hanging kit. There were only 5 reviews on this particular listing at the time, so I checked other things this company sells, and all seemed well, so I ordered it. All was very well indeed! As when I opened the box, lo and behold, there was the very Duosida EVSE I had been weighing against this one!As you can see in one of the other reviewer's attached images, the EVSE proudly says "Duosida" printed right on the side of the connector. They stick their own "manual" (a cheap piece of paper) in the box, and, here's the key, an actually really quite nice adapter to make it into the 14-50P. It consists of a foot-ish long piece of cord with the 14-50P on one end, and a twist-lock connection on the other. So, somehow, they get the Duosida EVSE, add THREE fairly expensive electrical plugs to it, the wall mount kit, and then sell it for LESS than just the Duosida unit + hanger. The cord hook is a fairly decent piece of steel, the clip for the head is just plastic, but seems perfectly fine.Needless to say, I am quite happy with my purchase. It's out there charging my Volt right now.
