These work much better than the two piece guides, look better ( where they can be seen) and are much easier to install. I found out that, for my 36" door, I needed two of them in a "train" configuration to provide enough coverage to guide the door in both fully closed and fully open position. It was fun finding out the hard way that one may not be enough to do the job if you have a 36" door.

This is plastic but is fairly sturdy and was up to the task of replacing my 60 year old pocket door guides. I found that I had to do a bit of custom fitting, but the guide was easy to modify. I will report back in a year to say if they hold up.

I wish these were longer. They are not very tall and i would have to shim the bottoms to get them up high enough to hold each side of my closet doors. But if you don't have a height problem, then i guess they would work for you.Comment Comment | Permalink
