Perfect for knocking down fret sprout. You will also want a fret dressing file and some fine nail files/polishers.

This file covers a couple of things to take care of your frets. It will remove sharp fret ends - be careful, protect the finish on the neck with tape before filing. It also will level the frets after they've been worn. Again, be careful of the finish on the fretboard and use tape to protect the finish. This is a very simple file and it doesn't have a handle (which would've been nice.) It's an economical tool that every guitarist should learn how to use.

This is one of my favorite fret told when I’m doing fret replacements.Its made well and fits in the hand nicely.One side is corse and one side in fine.Great affordable file for guitar repair.

The iLuiz guitar fret leveling and edge profiling file works great. I just used it on setting up a Squire electric guitar for one of the grand kids. The neck was pretty much strait, but I found 4 frets a bit high, mostly all on the 6th string side of the neck and was able shave a hair off and make a difference. I really like the fine side, it's not overly aggressive. No issues to report.
