The unit is very easy to install. Learning is easy for the unit and pretty much automatic. Any do-it-yourselfer, with at least minimal wiring experience, should be able to do this. What I like most is the range of pumps the one unit could cover; ½ TO 5 HP is great. My power panel is a Franklin and is labeled for 5HP pumps, but I am not sure what power my pump really is, either 3 or 5 HP. Either way, this unit has it covered.

I supposedly have to have this on my well, but it costs a small fortune for such a simple little circuit board which is at the heart of it. Any electrical surge and poof! You buy another one.

I installed this on a motor/pump combination that would regularly run dry and burn up the pump seal. It works perfectly and was not hard or complicated to install. Being rated for a five hp motor should mean a robust contactor that will last on my three hp motor.

Absolutely what we needed to get our water running again! This control system is a replacement for an existing one that was destroyed by a P.G.&E" power surge.

I have a system in which the well pump fills a reserve tank, and there is a float switch that turns the the well pump on and off. After about a month after drilling, the contactor in the Pumptec failed and was replaced. The replacement contactor failed within a week. The well contractor then replaced the Pumptec unit. It is working now, but I have been keeping the power off until I visually see the water level in the reserve tank at a lower level, and then I power it up to bring back the level, then turn the power off again. I do this because I don't want to blow out the Pumptec contactor again.

Product arrived ahead of estimated arrival date. When initially installed the unit would not work, but after some trouble shooting a disconnected wire was discovered, which when re-connected allowed the unit to work as designed. It has been in operation for a month now and working fine. Vendor did not have item professionally packed for shipping, which may have caused the wire connection to loosen. While item was securely packed, it did not have shock absorbing cushioning. Overall, I am pleased with the purchase and the response of the vendor to my inquires and their promptness in shipping.
