I've owned one of these before and loved it too but it was a smaller twin size so I upgraded to queen. It's such a fine mattress that rivals much, much more expensive mattresses. I highly recommend it for people who like just the right amount of firmness to their mattress. I'd also recommend it for a very reasonably-priced guest bed mattress if you'd like your guests to enjoy the same comfort they would in a very nice hotel.

We bought our first Otis mattress after having back pain from our $4000 high-end Temperpedic mattress. We loved it so much that after a year we bought one for every child! They are light but firm. You can flip them and turn them. So they keep their shape beautifully. It's been years since we bought our mattresses and we couldn't be happier. No more back pain :) * Did I mention the wonderful price?

This is a great mattress.I've been sleeping on a 25-year old all cotton batting futon and my hips were starting to ache because the old futon was very flattened out and very thin and hard. The rest of me (back and shoulders) was quite happy with the old futon, but I had to pay attention to my aging hips. This new futon, with a foam core, is very hard and very comfortable for me. I like the square edges; they are easier to put the fitted bottom sheet on.

I've had this mattress for a few months now and unfortunately it causes my back to be very stiff.Due to the pain this mattress has caused in my back I have had to resort to sleeping on the floor. When lying on the bed I sink too much and then it does not "bounce back" before I sleep again the next night.I was able to manage for a while by sleeping in different locations on the mattress; alternating sleeping on the left side then the right side.Sleeping on the very edge of the mattress helped a little, the additional support from mattress side did add a bit of firmness but still not enough. I also tried flipping the mattress, but same results.I ran out of ideas so now I am sleeping on the floor. Its sad I spent this much on a mattress and sleeping on the floor is better. I could have done that for free.Really regret buying this mattress.

I've been sleeping on this for a month, and it's been great. Just firm enough, very comfortable. I have it on a metal bed platform from Walmart. I wake up refreshed and pain free after a good eight to ten hours sleep. This mattress, along with other things I have purchased or done, has helped give the old heave-ho to insomnia. It does smell though. If it had been the summer I would have left it on the porch for a while. Even now it smells a bit. I have had an Otis Mattress before, and the smell went away gradually, so I expect this will too. Kept me awake the first night I tried it, so I had to sleep elsewhere and air the room for another week.Despite the smell I gave it five stars because it is a fine product for a good price. Also because all foam products smell. My other Otis mattress, a Moonglow, is still good five years later, showing no signs of breaking down, so I expect this one to be good for the whole warrantee also. Only reason I got a new one was I needed a larger size. Old one will be a guest mattress.

In short, I've just bought my second of these. After about five years, my first one began to soften and the loss of support was enough to be a source of back pain. Unfortunately, it had been so many years since I had bought that first one that the receipts had long since been lost. For almost a year I tried to use Japanese sleeping mats as a bed but it was just too uncomfortable. Having a new Haley 150 back beneath my back is heavenly. Nothing better than climbing into bed and feeling my back just release all it's stored up tension. If only they lasted as long as the maker claims it would be five stars.

It is as described. A very firm mattress, just the way I like it. It has just enough cushion to make it not like sleeping on the floor. This is by far the best mattress I have had in quite a while. As a sufferer of previous back injuries from active living, this mattress immensely helps reduce the pain and aggravation typically get with the run of the mill mattress. It fits my sheets perfectly and plus it is light enough so making it easy to rotate. A definite keeper!

I've spent the last five years or so sleeping on futons because coil mattresses, even firm ones, seemed to aggravate my lower back issues. Unfortunately, most futons have a limited life span and are less than entirely comfortable - and the lack of box edges mean that standard sheets never fit right. But at least they kept me away from the chiropractor. I bought my Otis Haley 150 9 months ago and it has been everything I wanted in a mattress. It's more comfortable than a futon (fewer complaints from my girlfriend), I haven't even thought about seeing my chiropractor since I've owned it, and my sheets fit better. It's a little daunting to unpack (it almost springs out of the box), but is still far easier than wrangling a new Queen sized mattress through your doors and into the bedroom. So, if you want an ultra firm mattress, and if coil mattresses leave you cold, it's an awfully good deal at $400 plus shipping.
