I needed to replace two sections of hosing for my MX8. The diameter of the female coupling on this hose was too small for the male coupling from the original equipment hose to set properly. I was able to jam it in, but I could not get it to lock in. I expect it will fail in time. I should have returned it.

Used it to drain my pool. It’s closer to 3 inches when expanded though. Good quality so far but used it only twice

The outside diameter of the hose must be 2”, it does not fit 2” PVC fittings or pipe. Had to reduce from the sand filter 2” connection to 1.5” pvc. It fits loosely over 1.5” pvc.

I am quite certain this will be the last backwash hose I ever buy. Material is very thick.

I got this to help direct the backwash away from the house for our new filter. The hose itself seems like a good quality. My issue was it won’t fit on the backwash output for the intex filter. We had to use a bottle to make an adapter. Needless to say this worked but didn’t go well. We will have to get an adapter in order for this hose to work for us long term.

For the price it was too good to be true. The quality is good, heavy duty and thick. It came with hardware which is a plus. No problem hooking it up, backwashed no leak.
