Bought two new. One clearly was previously opened/used. Doesnt appear to have any damage or missing parts. Giving 4 stars for now, but will update this review in a few weeks when i go to use them for a camping trip.

Bought these to put on the top of our popup trailer. Assembled in the dark with a flashlight no problem. Kids 16 and 20 inch bikes fit great. Super secure.

This is product is great. But you need to pay attention about your bike frame size. The slot to hold the frame is small, but not many people know they could remove the plastic part to hold a big frame. The first one is perfect for my bike and we travel more than two thousand miles with the rack and no problem at all! The second one I bought has a little problem and failed at the first day. I did check the rack and it is in good shape, just the know cant rolled in tight enough without the key! I returned it and they refund me the next day. I really enjoy this rack and it it not the best, but worth every penny!

Works great. I move alot and had had over the hatch bike racks in the past. Those makes it hard to get into the truck and block your view. So I decided to upgrade to this one. Best decision ever. This thing drove through snow storms in the mountains and the crazy wind you get across the plains. Plus it locks so I didn't worry when I stayed in seedy motels along the way. I checked the bolts along the way. They needed a little tightening, but where never loose. Anyway, great price and good quality. Highly recommend.

While this is a good value for the money it won’t hold a bike over 15 pounds very securely. My 35 pound mountain would flop all over while driving. The clamp also broke when I drove in a small dip. It is still usable but I don’t think it will make it through the season.

So...on the fence with this one - solid product and definite value for the money but they advertise to the absolute limit of the products true capability. Bought two of these for a roof rack on a SUV and the install/mounting flexibility is super simple. Be careful when connecting the main pieces as the nuts aren’t the highest quality and you can strip them out easily if you’re not careful. I’d struggle to recommend this to someone looking to move a “high end” 29er or even 27.5” MTB. The supplied wheel straps are too short but that’s easily remedied with a trip to your local hardware store for some tougher Velcro straps. The ‘track’ struggles to accept any tire close to 2.3” but we carried up to a 2.4”. On today’s bigger bikes the overall length is just too much for this - the thin metal will twist with the slightest angle when mounting the bike. The bike is still secure/safe - but it worried me. The frame/tube clamps are up to the task but make sure they’re very tight and then turn it twice more **AND ALWAYS LOCK IT** I initially was locking for safety when making pit-stops but found that normal road vibrations could loosen the clamp enough for it to slip down and then the bikes become VERY top heavy. Overall a great product for lighter/smaller bikes or shorter trips for bigger bikes. Just take your time and make sure the bikes are secure

I drove 12+ hours on the interstates through several major cities when I moved back to college with my bike on my roof and it was secured the whole time! I checked it each time I stopped and never once had an issue. I love this! Easy to use when my bike is on there and I can barely tell its there when my bike isn't. Absolutely fantastic product and I can't recommend it enough!

I bought this rack because of the great price, but soon had problems with it. First off, my 2.6" mtb tires would just barely squeeze into the slot... You can forget about the straps that it comes with, I had to use bungee cords because they didn't reach around the rim and even if they did, you can't get them tight enough. After about a month of use, one of the most important bolts that holds one of the arms snapped as I was leaving a driveway with my bike. Replaced that bolt and the other side as well, but then the plastic pieces that clamp onto the frame became really loose on the aluminum bars they were supposed to be glued to. The bike wobbles a dangerous amount so I decided to spend the money on the yakima high roller.I would recommend against buying this rack, but if you do then carry a wrench and check the bolts every time you use it.
