Wish that they would have worked as described! Attempted to use these to replace the original nozzles on Rainbird 22SA Quarters and Halves with these adjustable nozzles. They will fit and are easy to install but they simply won't come close to cover the distance they claim and they stop turning all of the time. The original 22SA fixed nozzles worked much better.

These sprinkler heads do not put out a mist. They actually put out sprays of water that hit and therefore soak the ground. They are adjustable per degree of rotation and the length of the spray can be adjusted. These are so much better than the regular sprinkler heads that put out more of a mist. I got these at a much more reasonable price from CMS Colorado rather than purchasing them from Rainbird.

I replaced all the Rainbird rotors in our irrigation system with these R-Van heads. I love them. No more mist in the wind. Easy to adjust, easy to clean the in-line filter. Plus, they're super peaceful jst to watch.

They are a bit on the expensive side, but I like the way they perform. I was replacing several older nozzles of another quality brand that had become calcified and were not working correctly, and these put my irrigation zones back to better purpose. I really like the adjustment, as it is so much more efficient than sighting in a tiny driver bit as in other products I used.

The seller did fine but the sprinkler head is a different story. I can't get then to adjust there arc. The instructions say to press down with the water on and turn but nothing happens. Some of the 10 are doing 90 deg and some about 110 deg but can't adjust them. Called Rainbird but they could not help me any more. I don't think all 10 could be defective but who knows. Four are doing the 90 deg I need but the others will not adjust to 180 deg that I need. THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE PACKAGE AND PDF FILE SHOWS PRESSING DOWN ON THE RING. YOU NEED TO PRESS THE COMPLETE TOP DOWN AND TWIST. I WAS PRESSING JUST THE YELLOW RING. MAYBE THE PICTURES SHOULD SHOW A THUMB ON THE TOP OF THE SPRINKLER HEAD. SORRY.

This nozzle has a good reach even with it's low flow. There is essentially no mist, so more water actually gets to the lawn, instead of into the sky. What's really great is that not only the water flow, but the radius is adjustable from 45 to 270 degrees, so that you can buy a bunch of these instead of guessing how many 1/4 versus 1/2 versus 2/3 circles you need. The trick for the radius adjustment is while the nozzle is installed and the water turned on, press down on the top of the nozzle and rotate to change the radius -- very easy to do. There's a video that illustrates this on Railbird's web site -- good thing because this adjustment procedure was not intuitive to me. There's a dial on the base to adjust the water flow.
