This has been working great in our fridge for the past several weeks. Our fridge smells neutral and fresh. My only concern is that the holder is quite large. Although, to be fair it is more tall and wide than deep. So if I put it sideways towards the back of a shelf, it seems to be mostly out of the way.I was also disappointed that there were NO tips, suggestions or even instructions for the product. I looked back on the listing and apparently you should take out the charcoal bag every month or so and let it re-charge in the direct sunlight. But NO WHERE on the packaging or the product itself does it say that. Also, it might be a nice idea to put a sticker on the container saying when to re-charge or replace the container. There seems to be a little bit of a disconnect between the packaging and the directions (or lack of).

At the time of this review this product cost $30 for the 3 pack, so essentially $10 a pop! That's a bit steep for me for a charcoal bag in a plastic cage. The plastic cage is sturdy, conveniently sized and shaped, and has a very neutral/subtle appearance which is great. That being said, it is just a cage, nothing hinges/opens/twists. It is also worth mentioning that there is no instruction or informational packet included. Thus, my questions of ingredients, care instructions, average time before changing product, etc are unanswered. Overall, these are certainly for small spaces but help control most odors.

These are easy to use. They aren't super small but also don't take up a lot of room. They easily fit in a fridge and stow away. No mess and easy to just set and forget.I will say they help somewhat, but they don't work as good as the normal baking soda cardboard ones. They still do work though and I do like that you get three of these though. The bag the come in reseals so you can keep the other ones fresh while they wait to be used. I do think there are better ones out there, but these still work and are still better than having no freshener in the fridge at all.

This seems to be working well! It doesn't really give off any odor of its own that I can identify, but it works as good as a box of baking soda if not better (I didn't have noticeable fridge odor issues to begin with so it's hard for me to compare), but it definitely seems it will last a lot longer, and so the price is competitive, and it's also certainly more aesthetic than an open cardboard box sitting in the back of your fridge waiting to get wet and nasty.

I am very impressed with the way that one of these deodorizers eliminated the smell of some cabbage soup that I had made. I always make a big batch so I can freeze some in containers for my husband and I to enjoy later. I put the entire stock pot in the fridge one evening because I was too tired to divide portions for the freezer and decided to do it the next day. The next morning I got the soup out of there, but the odor lingered. Luckily, I had ordered these fridge deodorizers. I popped one in there and it worked very well to eliminate the smell.I love the sleek design of these units. You get three in this order which makes them a terrific value. I feel they will last much longer than baking soda... with no mess if someone (my husband) tips it over.I highly recommend these quality odor absorbers.

I put this in the fridge hoping it would absorb some of the leftover smell of kim chi that was lingering in the fridge from the last time we bought it. I was surprised when, 12 hours after putting this little box in the fridge, the smell was almost entirely gone. It definitely seems to be more effective than a box of baking soda, and the design allows air to easily pass over the purifier material no matter how the device sits in the fridge. Three of these come in one resealable bag, so I'm hoping the other two will last so I can use them later.5/5, works as expected.

I like these things, as they are simple but somewhat effective ways of helping to control odors in various spaces. So my fridge does not have much of an odor problem at the moment so I got these primarily for some smelly closets I inherited at this apartment. So I can't tell much difference in my fridge, as there wasn't really any odor in my fridge anyway. But these would likely help very much, the more odor you have in the fridge or freezer.As for the closets, I likewise don't think I can tell much difference in the short term, but I think its more controlling the odor from getting worse, as I have already treated the closet with charcoal bags, baking soda, a dehumdyfier...and even a small ozone generator. (as well as a CH cut filter too.) So I am using all 5 of those things in conjunction, this being one of them, to massively improve the smell in that closet. So with all of those things, its massive improvement, but just these bythsemselves, won't probably do quite enough if you have a very strong odor problem. So I suggest using some of those other methods, such as humidity and moisture control, in conjunction. But bamboo charcoal definitely helps, and I have them hidden in a few spots all over my apartment. What this product does, it puts it into a convenient container that can easily go in a fridge, but also easily be placed almost anywhere. (whereas charcoal bags often can either be hung from a clothes rack or....just placed on a floor randomly, as there isn't much in between.) So this is a good innovation..to allow you to easily put charcoal bags in a fridge/freezer, or place them upright almost anywhere more easily than most charcoal bags.For best results it says to leave in the sun for 4 hours every month or so (which releases the odors and allows it to be used fresh again.) Overall: these may be a bit pricey imo as you can get more+ larger charcoal bags for less cost, but you are paying for the innovation and convenience of being able to put them in a fridge and more easily stand them upright almost anywhere, so for some people thosese aspects will be really really useful. I would definitely recommend these for fridge odors, with baking soda, and they are useful in other areas as well, in conjunction with other methods for tackling the most problematic odor areas around a house.
