Most of all, we’re there for the customer.

We’re there to offer expert advice, help you choose the perfect roof rack product, and guide you on the best way to fit it to your vehicle.

Our Story

It all began in 1992 when the very first Rhino Rack was born. Like all births, it was wonderful, inspiring, and a little bit messy. But pretty soon we realised we were onto something solid, and the next 20 years saw Rhino-Rack grow steadily, developing an extensive range of high-quality roof rack systems and accessories.

Today we have over 120 employees across our manufacturing and warehousing departments in Australia, USA and New Zealand. Thanks to our hardworking staff and loyal customer base, we’re able to export to 25 other countries, making Rhino-Rack an international brand as well as a locally grown product.

What we believe in

Our customers are our number one priority. We’re not happy unless you guys are, and we promise to deliver on the Rhino-Rack promise of quality design and affordable pricing every time.

Offering a premium product is also important to us. Everything we sell is made and tested to strict Australian standards. We also work with car manufacturers to make sure we’re completely on the ball with the latest vehicle trends, and tailoring Rhino-Rack products to make sure they’re the very best on the current market.

Rhino-Rack is strongly committed to the protection of the environment, and we work hard to minimise our environmental impact right across the board - from design, right through to manufacture and distribution. Our environmental protection goals include preventing pollution, ensuring our site operations don’t endanger health or safety, and constantly looking for ways to reduce our environmental impact even further.

Seems like a well-built product, unfortunately I couldn’t put it to use because (as another reviewer pointed out), these don’t fit the Thule Wing Bar Evo. The bolt fits the channel in the load bars just fine, but the plastic t-shaped extrusion on the other end of the foot will not fit into the channel. The manual for these saddles say they fit “Thule Aero” and “Thule Professional”—two t-slot racks from Thule—and that they do not fit Thule square bar, but doesn’t list Wingbar evo one way or the other. Don’t make the mistake I did and assume if it fits Thule Probar and “Aero”, that it must fit the WingBar Evo. It doesn’t.

It's far easier just to use ratchet straps to fasten the kayaks to the bars than to use these.

I got the side-loading ones (580) but they work for loading from the back too (just lifting kayak a bit and using t-bar loading in the back). It keeps the kayak very stable at up to 70 mph on the highway. It does not move at all. It is also a perfect fit for Malone aero bars.

Works pretty well on my Jeep Wrangler. I was hoping i could buy 2 sets and get 2 Wilderness Systems Tarpon Kayaks on to top of my hard top but they require a tad bit more space than half the width of the rack.

My wife uses the Rhino Rack Universal Side Loader Rack for Kayaks/Canoes to load her kayak single-handedly, and these Rhino-Rack kayak carriers work perfectly.

I got these with hopes of using the T Bolt system to cleanly attach to my Thule Evo Wingbar system. I received these and could not get them to fit in the roof rack. The T bolt goes into the channel between the rubber strips just fine, but the Nautic has a plastic tab that also needs to slide through the channel, which does not fit. If they just had two T bolts instead of one T bolt and the plastic tab, these would have been great. I'm returning these and ordering the 570, which clamps around the bar instead of through the rack channel. Unfortunately, it won't be as clean a look.

I've had side-loading kayak carriers before and these are by far the best I''ve had. The quality is very good, ease of use is very good, and the rubber pads really keep my kayak in place.I'd looked at competitive products and just didn't care for them. The Rhino Rack carriers really hit the spot.

I modified the Rhino Rack 580's to help support a Hobie Pro Angler 14 on my trailer. They were designed to fit C-Channel roof rails, but I converted them to fit the Uni-strut steel channel I used on my trailer. They seem to of very good quality, and fit my requirements perfectly. (Rhino Rack sells a conversion kit to work with Uni-Strut, but they were out of stock at the time I purchased the saddles.)
