Rhino-Rack Tie Down Straps with Buckle Protector, RTD45P
The RTD45P Rapid Straps are suitable for heavy duty use and feature a unique design registered unique Buckle Protector. Designed to encase the metal cam buckle, the Buckle Protector is made from injection moulded, TPV rubber and provides maximum protection to avoid denting, scratching or marking any of your gear or vehicle. This item also includes a sewn in Velcro Roll it Strap to keep the strap neatly stowed on its own.

Our Story
It all began in 1992 when the very first Rhino Rack was born. Like all births, it was wonderful, inspiring, and a little bit messy. But pretty soon we realised we were onto something solid, and the next 20 years saw Rhino-Rack grow steadily, developing an extensive range of high-quality roof rack systems and accessories.
Today we have over 120 employees across our manufacturing and warehousing departments in Australia, USA and New Zealand. Thanks to our hardworking staff and loyal customer base, we’re able to export to 25 other countries, making Rhino-Rack an international brand as well as a locally grown product.

Good quality straps with metal parts covered well to protect your car. I was able to attached two stacked inflatable paddle boards to the stop of my vehicle (about 12 inches thick) but I would not be able to add a third without longer straps.

These are the best straps for tying down kayaks. They are strong and hold so well. They are a bit pricey, but money well spent.

These are the best, most trustworthy straps I’ve used for tying down onto your vehicle. In my case it’s kayaks.I’m a 5 ft 2 in woman, and I was able to handle these straps so easily. Yes, my husband helps me load the kayak onto the car, but then I mainly do the cinching of the straps and it’s so easy and secure.

These are very pricey, but they hold very well, no slipping at all, and I love the rubber layer around the metal parts. Don’t want to scratch my paint. Worth the extra cost.

I did a bit a research on this product, outside of Amazon, and felt confident enough to order the product. I am using it as an extra tie down for my cargo roof bag. I am pleased to say that this is very high quality and performed well on the first lag of my 1500+km road trip! BTW, the protection around the clasps are a very nice feature and have protected my cars paint job well.

Perfect strong, simple straps. I bought these to loop around my car top carrier which has a broken hinge for some extra security on the highway. I didn't want a lot of excess bulk and/or strap going everywhere, just something simple and easy to use. These worked perfectly. I tried some ratcheting straps first and they were just a huge pain - giant heavy metal ratchet box that was hard to hold and thread and tighten. These were way easier to install AND to release the straps. Just push the clip-style lever and the strap releases. The velcro tie downs were also a nice touch and although I think they were intended to be used for storage when not in use, I found it super helpful to fold up the excess strap and tie up the bundle with the velcro for driving. Oh, and the rubber covering on the clamps is heavy-duty and well thought-out and ensured that I never had to worry about pulling the straps off and scratching my vehicle. Highly recommended!
