Important! For a correct installation of the RickRak SUREKLIK Saddlebag Safety Bolt Kit, you MUST:
- 16 & Earlier: Remove stock spring clips on fender frame, Replace with our U-Nuts (included) Then simply SUREKLIK! MAKE SURE THE U-NUTS ARE INSTALLED WITH THE THREADS ON THE SIDE FACING THE WHEEL.
- ’17 UP: DOES NOT REQUIRE THE U-NUTS – JUST REPLACE YOUR STOCK HD KNOBS With Our SUREKLIK SADDLEBAG SAFETY BOLTS.
- DO NOT JUST “THUMB TIGHTEN” THE SCREW. TIGHTEN DOWN AND "KLIK" UNTIL IT WON'T "KLIK" ANY MORE. Once tight, it should be hard to loosen.

Fits great on a 2012 road king. , Locks in as advertised. Get this, I wouldn’t waste my money on knock offs.Tip to remove old brackets on older Harleys - Pull the front part of the bracket and push down the rear part of the bracket to remove the rear part, then pull out the front part.Tip to install - screw the new bolt in before installing the saddlebag, the bracket will align with the bolt, keep this position for the bracket and remove the bolt, then place the saddlebag and install the bag.

While the new bolts to secure the saddlebags are much better than the old style, they take up precious space.These solid, low profile Safety Bolt Kits are a much needed purchase.I think they are a little expensive, they are worth the price.

The price gave me second thoughts until I actually got them. These are high end, very well built and super easy to install. There is some type of design they have that when they begin to get snug, they have a mechanism that looks to prevent them from walking back out unless you deliberately “unscrew” them. My bags are very snug now. One recommendation though, loosen the mounts on the fender rails so your bags line up perfectly, then secure the bags and lastly secure the bolts on the bag mounts (the mounts that attach on the fender). Perfect alignment and very snug bags too!

So I don't see alot of info on these so I felt the need to help them out.TLDR : Solid product, will recommend to others, have a 1100 mile ride coming up will review again when I return mid August.REASON : I bought these after breaking one of the stock aluminum bolts. After removing stock bolt I realized the backing plate was cracked and bent also, I did not see this damage before removing the original plate. I have about 16k miles on my bike and on a regular have no problem putting a case of beer in both bags coming back from the store. So maybe my strain is more then yours but that's my story.So installation is quick were talking 5-10 minutes, bring a set of needle nose. Remove old clip with a pull and slide new clip in. New clips look decent but felt a little extra bulk wouldn't have hurt. The bolts though are solid and heavy. Your going to be surprised by the feel and weight of these things. I am very impressed. It has a star pattern backing on the bolt to help you feel the tightness when you apply pressure. My bags feel tight and secure way more then the original, but that's the intent. Have a trip in August looking at 1100-1500 miles in 3 days so will adjust review if any issues.
