My neighbor had his son's bike out by the curb for the trash or anyone who wanted it. He said they got tired of messing with the tires. I checked it out and the old cheep rim tape was broken. I decided to fix it up. So I bought some rim tape and a new tube. Cleaned it up and lubercate the chain. Adjusted the derailleur. Works like new. Rim tape all works the same but I liked that it had the valve stem holes were already in and didn't have to punch it out.

I always have had upscale bicycles that I would take to a shop for everything from flat tires, maintenance, even to get washed. I was to afraid to risk messing something up. So I never knew how my bike was built or how it was assembled and never took the time to learn. I recently moved and sold my Peugeot bike. Once settled I decided to buy another bike which was a top of the line Diamondback Mountain City Cruiser that I ordered from Amazon. I thought the inflation max on the tire was the same for the tube. It was in my home when I heard an explosion running through my home I couldn’t find what exploded. Then I saw my tire was flat, the tube burst. I had no clue how to repair my flat and didn’t want to load it in my Jeep to drive to a dealer. I watched the self tutorials on Amazon how to fix a flat. So I ordered the tube, rim tape, and pump. When the rim tape arrived I realized after unpacking what purpose it served. This rim tape is an extra, PVC material, layer between the inside tire protecting the tube. It was a breeze to install with my thick thorn resistant tube. Now I am so relieved, with all the construction in Dallas leaving nails everywhere, I have the protection from the rim tape as extra insurance I won’t have a flat. It is easily installed, durable, bright yellow so you can clearly see if the position is correct, and once lined inside your tire, it stays put. I would never ignore using rim tape in my tires. So as to buy one that last, does it’s job, quality, affordable, you can’t pass up this product from this company. It’s not like other rim tape it’s the protection material necessary giving you peace of mind during your ride.
