If you use this soldering iron for electronic work you may find the supplied soldering tip a little "stubby" - if you, like me, are happier using a more pointed 'TIP' - "ANTEX" do a pack of three Tips that fit the 'iroda' iron perfectly - they incorporate their own spring retaining clip - "Replacement Tips, (for ANTEX CS iron) No.s 1101, 1105 & 1106 ( 3mm dia. with inclined tip, pointed tip, pointed with inclined tip.) These slip-on TIPS take a few seconds longer to reach heat, not a problem.

I was a Little suspicious that a battery powered soldering iron would be up to the task. Great tool! Needed a longer to heat than a corded version but I appreciated the ease of use and it was plenty hot.

I found out the hard way that purchasing a cheap, portable soldering iron is a mistake. This one costs a bit more, but it has a much higher level of power and heat. It works under all circumstances that I have tried it, particularly soldering lugs.

After dealing with horrible AA-powered nightmares like the Weller BP645, and seeing various 6W to 12W nightmares all over Amazon, I finally found something that actually has enough wattage to solder something other than hope and unicorn farts.I also like that this charges by USB-C, so it can charge pretty much anywhere that I bring my laptop or my iPhone or whatever.I have not tried any of the attachments other than the soldering attachment, but honestly, that's all I care about. The only negative is that the case is designed to hold the cap that covers the soldering iron in a separate compartment, which means you can't put it away before it fully cools down. But in the grand scheme of things, I'm just so thrilled to have a battery-powered soldering iron that can actually melt lead-free solder (the Weller mentioned above does not, or at least not for more than about a quarter of a second) that I really don't care at all about such minor flaws.Looking forward to keeping this with my emergency gig supplies for when (not if) things go horribly wrong.

This is by far the best soldering iron I’ve ever used. It’s hot in seconds and cools down so fast. If you do a lot of soldering and putting shrink tubes on your wires, get this now.

Works great and heats up fast. Would’ve given 5 stars but I don’t like the fact I need to keep down on the button to keep the power on. Non-locking feature for power.

Pros: it will heat up in 8-10 sec as advertised. Impressive heating, compared with similar products. Light, handy, and easy to use. Works well on both PCB and wires. Nice carry case and accessories.Cons: 1 hour advertised operation time is just theoretical (based on battery VxA), it will stop working much sooner. Soldering tip is made of copper and will oxidize and wear out in less than 2 hours (after about 20min mine already lost almost half of the tip). I couldn’t find any place to buy replacement tips. Contacted customer service and I was told the only place is their website and the price would be $20+ plus shipping and taxes. Ridiculous price for a replacement tip (I guess this is the reason they do not sell it elsewhere and do not advertise it in advance), even the tip includes the heating element. Do yourself a favor and look for a different product with cheaper tips if you don’t want to end up with and unusable product or to spend a fortune just to keep it working. Until they will provide affordable tips it is not worth the buy.

The iron arrived in a well-made plastic and padded hardcase. Inside the case was the iron with soldering tip, cap (guard), charging cord, hot knife tip, hot air blower tip, brass tip cleaning cup, and (lead-free) solder (1.0 mm dia.) - everything shown in the listing.Initial charging was less than 10-minutes (indicated by the iron's indicating light changing from red-to-green). Iron heats to solder's melting point in approx 20-seconds.Neat safety feature is that the Main Switch must be retuned to "off" position before the iron can be returned to the case. Proper installation of the guard also returns the switch to "off".Time will tell how well this performs, but nothing leads me to believe it will be problematic.

I like it a lot my only gripe is the lack of replacement tips they don't sell them on here or their website and there's no alternative tips either you can't just use any old off-the-shelf tips they have to be specifically made by Iroda it'd be nice to have smaller tips, the photos makes the default tip that you'll be using majority of time look small but it is actually more rounded and blunt. Personally I prefer something more refined and pointy. It charges quickly with right usb power supply, I did a harness in my car for my stereo and it didn't die on me. Not sure how long the battery is supposed to last but I like the convenience it offers. It does get hot, very quickly. Recommended for wires, haven't tested it on electronics yet.
