I love the design of this egg cup. Very cool.However in the philosophy of form fits function I am disappointed with function. Yes it can hold eggs, but before I use anything on food I wash it; so I put it in the dishwasher. Not such a good idea. The polish is gone. Well afterwards I found a tiny note inside of the ox instructing me not to use it in a dishwasher.Disappointing for a egg cup at such a price, disappointing for a product coming from Alessi where FFFshould be a priority on kitchen items.So here I am, one day later with an egg cup with a cool design but without the sheen.
