After receiving the unit which was delivered with no signs of damage, I read install instructions. The unit came with a 3’ lead wire on the unit and a 6’ wire to go from unit connected to new thermostat. Now consider this unit is designed to be installed on the roof of a camper and the connector for the unit should be located in the housing unit. That allows only 6’ of cable to go from unit to thermostat. Campers are 8’ wide (allowing 6” of wire for the connection) 4’ a cross the ceiling and allowing 6” of play ( to allow thermostat to be removed for servicing. Your thermostat ends up a foot off the ceiling, WHAT? For proper placement of the thermostat, it should be located away from the unit. My old unit was 9’ away requiring 12’ of cable.
