Holds door open fine but the part that secures the latch when not in use doesnt work very long. After popping it in and out maybe a dozen times the metal is already fatigued and doesnt hold the arm very well. Will pop out with little effort. Thinking about installing a rubber band or something to keep it from swinging while trailer is moving.

I got this 6" Door Holder to replace the older silver version so that it matches the rest of my black hardware. Unfortunately I got the 6" instead of the 4" but decided to keep this and probably use instead. I have not installed it yet but there is not much to it and its just like the pictures show and works the same as the one that's currently installed.The only issue is that its a thinner metal than the original one but since there is no weight or force to worry about ripping it off the wall/ceiling then I am fine with it. Its going to be used on a latch door that opens and attaches to the ceiling. Since the door will stay the same I can just remove the old holder and put this in its place. The ceiling has been covered over so I no longer have to worry about the fact this is 6" and I can mount according to the required spacing so it will work. I just haven't mounted it yet but see no problem with it working out.

Got these because the factory used a 4” door stop on my RV and when the entry door is latched open it overlaps the baggage door slightly. Last camp trip I was in a hurry and forgot about this, quickly opened the baggage door and ripped the stop right out of the entry door. Installed this new stop/latch and it now gives just enough space for the door to be latched open AND still be able to open the baggage door. Wish I had gotten these sooner!!! Comes with the mounting screws.
