I did not notice that this was a dip pen. It does state in the "notes" but obviously I did not read. My mind was set on a 2 mm nib and that is all I focused on. It would be nice if the title clearly stated it was a dip pen.As for performance I am surprised with how much ink one dip can hold. The tip is indexed with a small flat put it is easy to jam the nib in the wrong way and then difficult to get out. It is very light weight - I may fill the holder with some epoxy to give it a little more weight.So this writes well, but is too light weight. It is also impractical for daily use unless you want to travel with an ink well.

Not 10 minutes into the first use and the barrel became so riddled with cracks it's unusable. How this is being marketed as portable, suggesting any amount of durability at all to be such, is a farce. Visibly crumbling apart, basically, in hand while writing right before my eyes. Glad I only spent $12 on it, but still, $12 too much

This little pen writes very smoothly. I read other reviews that it was great for swatching inks - I haven't gotten my swatch cards yet to give it a try. However, the tests I have done make me lean toward agreeing with the other reviewers.It will not hold other nibs, just other proprietary sailor nibs. The nibs flip upside down and store into the pen shaft, meaning you can take it on the go, if needed, without carrying a separate case for the nibs.Each dip holds a surprising amount of ink and puts it down pretty evenly. For the price, these are well worth it.

The Sailor Hocoro Dip Pen series is one of my favorite dip pens to use, especially this broad nib version. It comes with a smooth, light barrel and a detachable ink reservoir in the nib. It writes wonderfully, and the line thickness really shows off shimmer and shading inks potential! The nib is smooth on paper, unlike glass dip pens, but is still as easy to clean for switching ink colors. The Sailor Hocoro dip pen nibs are interchangeable as well, so it is easily replaceable and you don’t have to buy a whole pen again. A great value and another great product from Sailor!

I got this to swatch fountain pen inks and it does not disappoint. Holds a solid amount of ink on the nib, smooth writer (I did prep it by using some rubbing alcohol to clean it first). I love being able to pull out the nib and put it away, protected. I got this as a Fude nib, and it lays down a great range of line widths from fine to brush.

Writes nicely and convenient to take with you. One minor gripe I have is that the white can stain easily, so complete clean up is necessary after each use.

Wow. A dip pen with a feed to actually hold some ink. Fabulous.The pen itself is really crappy shiny plastic with uncomfortable grip, but it comes with a nib and I love the concept.Personally, I think they could spend a few cents more to at least shape the grip area.
