I wanted these because we fish all the time. These are perfect for reaching into the mouth of a fish to retrieve your bait. They are very durable and easy to clean. Of course the color is perfect if you don't want husband to steel your pliers. We salt water fish so I always bring them in from the boat and wash in fresh clean water. They have help up really well.

Works great for all the fishing uses I needed. Line cutting, hook bending, fish holding, whatever I needed them for. Washed them off when finished with the trip and no rust.

The pliers themselves are great. The sheath is ok, better to keep in the pocket if you're carrying it. The picture shows a blue and great set but they just sent you out a flat grey. Not a big deal but if you want blue, you get grey.

Finally had opportunity to Test this fishing tool.Light weight and the finger cut outs are just right size for male hand.works well for split ring work and line to lure rigging.Does not cut braid as well as advertised.

I had a different pair I used for years, and they ceased up on me and the spring on them broke. These however have been very durable and are a little heavier, but I now prefer that feel with my pliers. I also appreciate that they come with the attachable cord so even if you drop them, you're not losing your pliers in the water of ice fishing hole and can easily retrieve them. Well worth the buy!

These are not the best fishing pliers or case I own, but the value for the money is great.Needs a tougher case and an easy belt clip. You have to loop it through your belt. So it won't work with board shorts the way it's set up.The pliers are decent for the $$$$. I've only used them for fresh water as I have a high $$$ pair for salt. So I'm not sure how they would hold up in saltwater conditions.

I am beyond pleasantly surprised with these pliers. Considering the price I was concerned they may fall far short of my expectations, the pliers did not. The sheath for them is clearly more of an after thought but was not a deal breaker for me since I keep them in a pocket on my tackle box anyway. Future improvements that could be made would be putting the carbide nippers on the outside since it can be a little tricky to get in close to hooks to trim my line, but again not a big deal and I knew that would be the case based on the pictures. Other than that, they are perfect.I only have used them for freshwater, so I cannot speak to whether or not they will stand up to salt water but I have had absolutely no problem with them in fresh water.
