Suitable for Most Window Frames
The spline is made of top quality vinyl, and it is designed in a serrated, round, hollow core structure, It is relatively stiff, but still flexible enough to force into the spline channel of the screen frame, so it can better keep the screen in place and tightened.

Installation Instructions:
Step 1: Hook out the dead and aged spline and remove the old mesh
Step 2: Measure the length and width of the frame, cut the screen mesh according the size of the window or door
Step 3: Placed the cut screen mesh over the frame of the window/door frame
Step 4: Roll the screen retainer spline into the groove of the window frame with the rolling tool
Step 5: Gently stretched screen to top of frame and installed spline
Step 6: Repeated for left and right sides of frame
Step 7: Checked spline seating on all sides are properly installed; trimmed the excess screen off with the cutter
Step 8: Clean the screen
Useful Tips for Installation:
1. The size of the screen mesh should be lager than the window when cutting the screen(about 2 inches)
2. The spline can be stretched probably double the length or more. And when you install it, you can stretched it
3. Gently stretch the screen before securing it, but don’t pull the screen too tightly, it might rip
4. Never use the CONVEX wheel to push the retainer and FIBERGLASS screen into the groove on the frame, the wheel will cut the screen
5. Do not use the roller to squeeze the window screen many times, it might cause the damage of the screen

I have a fiber screened in porch. My dog destroyed original screen. I can see through it as good as the finer screen. Fabric being folded for shipping, not an issue at all. Yes, it was creased but when applied in a screen track -I installed top first - then slightly stretching I installed bottom track - then installed left track- slightly stretching I added installed bottom track. Very nice!!! 100% satisfied. Not sure about durability or dog proofness, just installed today.

I replaced some regular screen that my dog had torn in a screen door. This screen appears to be pet proof. The dog has jumped on it a scratched it but no damage has been done. It was difficult to install only because the included tool was too wide to fit in the channel. Instead of being able to roll the spline in, I had to push it in little by little. My only complaint about the product is that it came folded instead of being rolled so I could not get rid of the creases where it had been folded. High quality materials however.

WHY on earth would you fold the screen vs rolling it for sale/shipping? Screen mesh full of creases making it difficult or impossible to do a clean installation without tons of slack in the finished screen. If you buy this make sure to take the screen out several days before installing and do what ever you can to get it smooth and crease free - sooooo dumb. Also, the rubber piping is the cheap stuff, not the good stuff that glass/window shops use for making screens so it doesn't hold as well and pulls out easily.It does come with all the tools you need so that's cool and it's not expensive. Screen material is actually good by the creases are absurd.This was a $25 LESSON that I shouldn't have bothered and just taken the screens to my local glass/window storeWill not by again and mad I can't get a refund.

This screen was relatively easy to put on once I got it in the condition to put on! Like many other reviews stated, the screen comes folded. So I laid it out in the sun for a week or so (as suggested by others online) trying to get the folds to come out. I tried blow drying the wrinkles out first but that didn’t work. Laying it out in the sun helped a little bit although I couldn’t tell it really helped until I stretched it around the frame. That’s when the wrinkles really started to stretch out a bit. I had my wife pull the screen tight as I installed the screen. All the tools it came with were very helpful and overall I’m happy with the product. I can’t say much about the pet proof part because my cats haven’t tried to climb it and I took an extra safety precaution of attaching a grille to it so my dog hasn’t tried barreling through it since she can see there is a barrier. But overall I’m happy with the product, looks beautiful.

Overall it worked exactly as expected - the tools provided are adequate and useful - but you have to definitely measure/plan the work before you start, or you will be in trouble, as they have a pre-measured amount of screen with no room for major errors. I understand that it is thick and durable (it is!), and that it had to come folded in a box, but I hadn't expected the large creases that were present when finally installed. Its really the one non-professional aspect that you will have to live with, assuming you do everything else right. If you've not replaced screen doors, definitely look up tutorials on Youtube to first determine your ability, and rethink and plan it ahead before cutting and installing. I wish you luck!

This is MUCH heavier than the original screen, looks great and is easy to install. Comes with all the tools you need. However, as for being pet proof, it DOES withstand tearing better, but our dog is still able to rip it out of the door. Not complete pet proof, but it is more durable. We recommend this because of the heaviness and coming with all the tools you need.
