Fabulous, quiet tower fan but within a few months it started rattling. I found that a squirt of WD-40, at the top spinning post & another squirt, at the bottom spinning post sent right back to quiet purr! Yeah!Now, several days layer, it's still quietly purring! ;)Update, as of Sept. 5th, fan is STILL quietly purring. Wish I had thought of this fix earlier as we have had this fan for two years now!October 1st & fan is still quietly doing a great job!

Seems to work ok. I’ve had it only for a few days but works fine. Pretty simple to put together. Remote works only face on with center of fan so if it’s isolating you have to wait till it’s facing the remote.Wind strength is good. On low I feel it 10 ft. away. Some may say it’s loud but it’s really not. It’s a muffled noise really when turned high. Like a background white noise. I dont even notice it.Happy with the purchase. Gave 4 stars because of the remote issue.

The fan itself was easy to assemble, and required no tools. The remote did need 2 AAA batteries, but worked in a decent range from the fan. I wish it was a little more powerful, but I love the quiet motor, so I guess it's a fair exchange for the white noise. Also, it would have been nice if the fan oscillated in a slightly wider range (seems to be almost but not quite 90 degrees), but overall it works great and was shipped out very quickly.

The fan is really quiet, even on the highest level. I would actually prefer it a little louder because I like the white noise when I'm sleeping, but that's a personal preference. Tall, excellent fan and I love that the lights go off after 20 seconds so I dont have lights beaming into my eyes when I'm trying to sleep.Edit: one month ago it started making a high pitched screeching sound. With no way to open it without taking it completely apart I can't adjust the blades or whatever is making the sound.

It has been warm out, not quite ac hot, but perfect fan l weather. I thought this fan would be great to circulate and cool the air. It is quiet and easy to easy to use, has wide range oscillation, but is very zen about cooling. I was looking for more of a kung fu attitude toward cooling from my fan. There is no... horsepower in the fan and the air it blows is soft cool air. Like it want the heat to agree to be cooled. This would be great in a baby's room while baby is sleeping as it is quiet or in a dorm room as it tall and thin and can/will fit in most nooks and crannies. But if you need power, I would encourage you to keep hunting.

Fan arrived well packaged and in perfectcondition.The base requires assembly.If you can assemble your new IKEA FRÖTORP coffee table, you'll be fine with the fan.But if you want some thing easy, to plug in right away, you'll be frustrated.Once it's assembled, it's EXCELLENT. It's quiet, tall and fits in narrow spaces. There a remote comtrol with batteries that gives full access to all features, like speed control, oscillation, and a " random " setting that randomly changes the air speed, like a natural outdoor breeze.So. ... sit back with about 5 Piña Coladas, put some sand in your shoes, turn on the Random setting, close your eyes, and pretend you are at the beach talking with Miguel, the handsome, lonely Brazilian helicopter pilot ( with a hint of chin stubble, muscles rippling under his silk shirt ) as he says .... "Come. Fly with me, gatinha"!!

I attached a photo of my old fan and the new fan. The new fan is so much taller, and it is so quiet. Great for sleeping. The remote control does not light up; however, it is simple to use. Also, another great feature is that the display light on the front of the fan turns off after a few seconds so that there is no night glare. I would recommend this fan to anyone that is looking for a tall quiet fan with a remote control.

At its price point, this is one of the best tower fans you can purchase!It’s easy to use, fairly quiet, but strong output. I live in Sacramento, and these are great additions as it does reach up into the high 100° and I like it COLD.I have one set up near my bed, and even at the strongest setting it’s fairly quiet and I have no problems sleeping. I’ve purchased a lot of different types at almost double the cost, and I’m very satisfied with this one. I’m gonna buy a couple more for back up!
