Dirty or clean these Pearly Gates sound like heaven. Upgraded my 45 year old friend and boy do I love it! Took my time and care with the installation and it was/is worth it 😁

This pickup sounds like it's right between a PAF neck & a Stratocaster neck pickup. You can say it's a PAF with way more treble, or a single coil with way more mids & bass. I LOVE this pickup in the neck of a Les Paul.

I use this pickup in the neck posit of the explorer I built snd it’s the best choice I could of made. It’s so gritty but smooth. You can play it however you want. It reaches metal expectations and liveS in the hard rock /blues/alt/grunge/ who needs a classification anyway zone. It pairs well with probably any other SD pickup . Mine is with a dimebucker for an all Texas good time!

I got a neck position pearly to go with a jb on the bridge. The pearly gates has so much unbelievably good sound and a very wide range. I have it on a 500k tone pot and it reaches both bass heavy and muddy like you want a neck pickup but can also be toned up to a brighter sound that could very easily be a lead tone. If you’re thinking about it, go with Seymour Duncan.

Totally dig this pup! KILLER tone, doesn't SCREAM at you when you stop playing or have a half second or second pause in the song your playing. I play Metal and threw a EVH and OR15 via TONEBONE SWITCHBONE

Update: after getting the right one im very pleased with the pg1 neck humbucker. Nice sound.Original post, 1 star due to someone swapping the humbucker and sending me a different used one.* Bought one of these, deffinently not a pearly gates humbucker from amazon, came from madrid.Ive bought Seymour duncan's before and know them well. This is not a pearly gates. Its a used sh10 distortion which someone has already used. Not at all happy. Didnt expect this from amazon.Sent back for a refund.

Wanted a neck position humbucker that sounded more like a single coil. This pickup exceeded my expectations. Clear and bell like on the clean channel and dynamic and throaty on the dirty channel.

Amazing improvement and would recommend even on top of the line guitars. Sweet vintage sound!

Great sounding neck pickup that pairs well with my EVH Frankenbucker. The tones are incredible, as they are a great balance of clean and dirty, which I prefer. I looked at many other Seymour Duncan neck pickups, but I'm so glad I purchased this one. It's perfect for playing metal, hard rock, classic rock, southern rock, blues, etc.

If you have a Les Paul, you need this pickup! I have it paired with a SD Distortion bridge pickup, and WOW. Perfect match for a mohagany body guitar. Also works well when paired with the SD Stag Mag.

These are a nice upgrade for the standard Epiphone Les Paul pickups. Nice tone and sweet harmonics. A little bit of billy gibbons sound in a box.

Bonkers ,power will transform any guitar in to a tone machine. Just had one put in my PRS SE TREMONTI CUSTOM .It has made a good guitar a great guitar. Also put Seymour Duncan custom custom pick up in bridge position ,now sounds like a very high end guitar.Totally blown away by the tone through my blackstar ht5210 and id 60 .TONE HEAVEN.
