The hardware comes with tapered stainless steel spacers that allow the rack to easily conform to the curve of your trunk. These specially designed washers are recessed to allow the rack feet to sit into the spacer spreading the load over the trunk lid more equally. Rubber washers assure a water tight fit to the trunk lid. Dimensions are 24 inch length x 13 inch width x 7 1/2 inch height. Works with Show Chrome Accessories luggage bag 4-603 and Hopnel luggage bag H50-106BK. Fits Honda GL1800, GL1500 and Valkyrie Interstate.

Think about it. What kind of rack do you get for a little over a hundred bucks? You must drill 4 holes in your wonderful Goldwing to put this thing on. That's four chances to screw thinks up and crack your luggage compartment. What's comical is Honda has made it easy to put a rack on the Goldwing without having to drill any holes. Yea, it cost close to $300 but didn't you just by a motorcycle for close to 30 grand? Don't put cheap junk on your bike, you will be sorry. There are many really good after market racks that do not require you to drill holes in your luggage compartment. This product is junk and that's why I cancelled my order.

Was impressed with this product very easy to install. All you need is a drill and a socket set, took me 25 minutes to install it.

It's installable but not without a fair amount of effort on my husband's part - maybe it's the difference between American manufacturing and something made in China. Only 1 of the four screws could easily be screwed into the rack's feet. A liberal application of teflon lubricant into the holes was required along with a lot of "elbow grease" - with the rack off the bike - was needed before the screws could be turned into the rack's feet. Then you need to back the crews out and start the whole install from the beginning. Here's some unsolicited advice: try putting the screws into the feet BEFORE drilling the holes in the bike's truck. That way, if they don't go in well and you decide to return the rack, you won't have four holes in your trunk while you wait for a replacement. And come to think about it, why would you want a replacement of the same probably poorly engineered rack anyway?
