Received today (8/29) ordered 8/27! Price was on par with other local retailers AND came with 4 rocket launchers however one of my rods didn’t fit (Phoenix Abyss PSX 809) but that isn’t a show stopper. Overall I’m happy with my purchase as I wanted / needed a box with rocket launchers that wasn’t top heavy.

I've been waiting a long time to save up and purchase this item. Once I received it, I could tell it was built to last. Very sturdy and tough. But..... there are two things I'm disappointed with. #1. The quality of the plastic storage drawers. Super cheap for the cost of the tackle box. I recommend you look to purchase nice water proof new ones if you decide to buy this. Extremely disappointed in the quality of these storage drawers. #2. The storage inside the lid once you open the top. Every time you open the plastic door, Everything wants to fall out. Kind of useless if you ask me. I recommend using this area for something you don't use very often. For these two reasons, I can't give it a five star.

Super sturdy box. Used it on a eight day trip. Held more than I needed. Been looking for this for a long time.

Great tackle box, heavy duty (heavy as well) it holds all of my tackle and I can keep my flourocarbon in the hide-away top section. Great price too. They should sell the Rocket Launchers included (found those for $49,00 at a local tackle shop, probably paid too much). I don't know why I could not find those on Amazon.

Ridiculous strength and quality, well layed out. I expect this tackle box to last a lifetime! No more frozen zippers on my tackle bag due to saltwater corrosion despite proper cleaning and lubrication. Pricey, but the quality justifies the price. Look forward to purchasing other product from SKB, I also have a case for my compound bow.

The large box.The box itself is truly solid, stable and well laid out! Someone would have to fall and drag the box over for it to tip over. Small folding airline two wheel carts serve to drag the box around to places. I only wish that the carts had large balloon wheels. If you value your back, don't try to carry this box everywhere. As another commenter mentioned the plastic boxes where one can outfit the tackle box quickly depending on the fishing trip (light salt, heavy salt, crappie, bass, trout, steelhead, salmon...); well the boxes and design for the boxes are absolute junk.Upgrading to the Plano boxes allows for better plastic boxes. Unfortunately, this highlights the poor design issue. There is a lot of wasted space above, between, to the sides and under the plastic trays. Yes, the trays need sliding room, and room for the tray tops, closures and so on. I'm tempted to glue thin shelves in and then fit trays tight to the shelves which might almost double the storage efficiency.Still having a number of Plano boxes readily stocked for specific types of fishing lets one swap in the right boxes in minutes. There is a rather well designed well for hanging treble hook congested lures with minimal tangling. Using a divider or card down the center of them helps to reduce the already minimal lure tangles. My gripe about this is that the well fits some large lures, but not the largest; so when one hangs in their three, five and seven inch lures, there is a lot of room empty at the bottom of the space. Add up content versus space and it is an inefficient use of the space. Nice that it is effective, still. There is a narrow depth well in the lid and a deeper well under the lid. The deep well is good for larger items, the narrow well is not deep enough. Only the thinnest fly boxes fit in the lid's narrow well and several larger fly boxes quickly fill the deeper well. Leaving one playing swap a box with a reel game. Nor are there any moveable dividers to try and help keep items from marrying each other during bumpy rides. For the moment, I'm keeping fly gear separate. When all is said or done:This box is probably the least efficient tackle box you'll ever own. The concept is terrific, the physical realization of that concept is sad. This box may very well last a young man's life time. So long as he doesn't try to carry it everywhere. Solve the space efficiency problem and this box will serve one very well.
