I use this with my ryobi air pump. It's nice how easy it is to take on and off because I have presta valves and my roommate has schraders. The ring and chain is also nice so I don't have to worry about loosing it

This adapter is a really nice piece of kit. If all you need to do is inflate, it is perfect and I give it 5 stars. However, my process for filling bike tires involves filling and then bleeding out air until I achieve my desired pressure. I have an air compressor with a JACO FlowPro 2.0. I intended to use this adapater between the FlowPro (schraeder) and my MTB tire presta valves.My issue is the adapter will NOT facilitate deflation, as it does not internally open the presta valve to which it is attached. So, if pressure outside is lower than pressure inside, the valve naturally closes and no air escapes. I can see that being valuable for some users, but for me it makes it impossible to adjust my tire pressure efficiently.

The issue with this device is that it requires long stems. I am using the stems that came with my stumpjumper and this converter will not slide down far enough to press the air value nipple. The stems are not not short but the nut gets in the way. So I can't recommend this thing. It needs to be about 1/2 inch shorter.

The only thing I have an issue with is the threaded part is just slightly too wide. No problem to just wear the threads down a tiny bit. Tried with two tire inflators and the chucks say it’s barely too big to fit like a normal tire inflator valve. The presta cycle fits no problem because it’s slightly smaller than a normal valve.You can see in the pictures that the rubber gaskets are very different. This one is a better fit, no issues with bending the presta head screw. Easy to clean out and grease as needed. The rubber is softer than the presta cycle and doesn’t seem like it will deform as the presta cycle one is doing. Just putting them on and taking them off makes me really regret buying the presta cycle version. But if your like me and want to use an air compressor and get an accurate reading of the tire pressure. You need one of these vs those cheap adapters that you screw over the presta head. Those only allow air in but you can’t get a reading of the tire pressure.I’m running tubeless tires and this makes it easy to set up tubeless and keep them at the pressure you want.I also like the fact I can attach this to my tire inflator so it doesn’t get lost.Maybe I got a bad copy but even with having to sand down the threads a little bit. This will replace the presta cycle.

Picked up a ryobi inflator after trying someone’s and didn’t want use a schreader to presta adapter every time. Honestly, I’ve never really liked valve adapters that don’t lock on, but thought I’d try this out. It’s great! Even on some of my shorter valves. So do yourself a favor, ditch the pump and get a powered digital pump and use this. :-)

All the tubeless valve stems for mountain bike wheels are presta valves. When your mounting the bead on the tire to " seat" on the tire on to the rim shoulders you have to blow a large amount of air quickly into the tire to "puff" it out so it will pop on to the rim. The most efficient way of doing this is to remove the valve core of the presta to get max. air flow in. I already own a 1/4 in. NPT ball foot air chuck ( all gas stations have this type ) but needed an interface to the presta valve outer body. This SKS Adapter is absolutely perfect for the job.

If your pump equips with Schrader adapter only; if your pump can blow air out directly without any valve/center pin; and if you need to pump Presta and Schrader regularly, this adapter is for you. The included chain to attach to the tube of the pump is very considerable but I use a rubber band to stop if from sliding along the whole tube. The chain is removable.

works great with my battery powered pump! Much easier than screwing on the traditional Schrader-Presta valve adapters. You do have to hold this down a tiny bit to keep the seal, but most bike tires fill so quickly that it isn't an issue.If you are using a battery powered pump, just make sure your pump that will send air without center pin pressure on the Schrader valve. Easiest way to test this is to see if your pump delivers air with it being connected to nothing. If it doesn't, then this won't work with your pump.If you are using a manual pump, I can see how this might not work so well since you do need a 3rd hand to press down a bit & hold the seal.
