Bought this for my son to play and learn with. After 4 years he is still having fun and really enjoys it. Probably not the best guitar, but for the price it is worth it for a person looking to experiment with guitar.

First of all, the guitar and amp aren't like the one shown in the photo. The guitar is a strat, so it's got 3 pickups and 2 tone control knobs and 1 volume knob, not a single pickup and volume knob. The fretboard is rosewood, not polished maple. The amp has independent bass and treble knobs instead of a single tone control knob and the overdrive is push button activation instead of a knob. The guitar itself is very light and the truss rod and bridge are true and need no adjustments. The amp sounds very good clean for being a micro combo with an undersized speaker. With the drive engaged it does have hum and sounds very, very dirty so it's perfect for rockabilly or classic punk, but has a poor response for arena rock or metal but a digital modeling pedal should clear that up just fine.

Ok, so for $100 dollars, the quality of this guitar is really impressive. It looks great, sounds decent and plays fairly well. Make sure you know how to adjust the truss rod and the action though, because mine badly needed adjusting, and before I lowered the action, the guitar was difficult to play and had a much flatter tone. The amp seems fine, but I’d recommend using headphones. The gig bag is thin and very cheap looking, and the guitar strap it comes with is garbage. It didn’t fit me, and if it did I wouldn’t want it touching my skin. Overall though this is a really good deal for a beginner/practice guitar.
