I'm really pretty impressed with the hanging solar light. It's very well made and extremely sturdy. The frame is made of a solid metal and the solar is nice that it tilts with a hinge so you can actually direct it to catch the sun. It's super simple to install, I installed mine on one of my old DirectTV pole mounts I had on the edge of my roof.I wanted some extra light to light up my driveway at night to help detour the thieves that seem to live in the dark and break into cars. Even though this thing is a small 50w LED panel, it does exactly what I wanted and lights up my driveway area no problems.The best thing is, the energy it uses is all FREE. Solar panel keeps it charged during the day and you have all sorts of options for night time operation.The reason for 4 out 5 stars? The remote. The range on the remote is terrible, and you almost have to be directly under the light to change the mode. Fortunately you don't need to change it often, only if you to change it up for some reason or if you start annoying the neighbors.Would certainly order another one when/if this one ever breaks.

I’m using this solar light mounted at the back of my yard, and it provides very bright illumination over a large area, covering most of the space. The remote control is a nice feature because I don’t need to leave my back porch to adjust the light. It offers several mounting options—either wall or pole—and comes with all the necessary hardware for installation. The only downside is that the instructions are not very detailed, but if you’re handy with DIY projects, you should be able to figure it out. The key to ensuring optimal performance is to mount it in a location where the solar cells have southern exposure.

Product arrived super fast. Installation took about 15 minutes...half of it assembling the light. The required nuts and bolts for different installation are provided. Most of the assemble time was doing 1/8 turns to secure the nuts and bolts. Would have been easier if there is enough from to use socket wrench. Definitely, make sure light is fully assembled before climbing ladder to the final installation location. I also tested the remote and the light to make sure they are working as well. The light was installed onto a pipe like what's shown on the product page. Took about 7 minutes to doing 1/8 turns to secure light to pipe. I also added locktite...so less lightly needed to resecure the bolts again. I like that the solar panel can be adjusted to improved the amount of sun light it's exposed to. The 50W version looks like good for heights of 10-20 feet. My installation is 15 feet...does a good job at that range when the batteries are fully charged. Other than the excessive amount of 1/8 turns...no other issues. Not that bad of an issue...since it's mostly a one time task.

This solar street light is pretty awesome. It's almost all metal construction, which is rare. It's got a ton of different mounting options and the solar panel module allows for adjustable angels to properly line it up with the sun. The included remote is great and it's quite bright! The only "weakness" might be that the solar panel/battery module is connected to the main lamp module with a small molded 3 pin plug connector and that could possible present a problem if water somehow gets inside. I'm excited to see how long it holds up to the elements vs other similar street lamps!

This solar street light is solidly built with the framing made of mostly aluminum and the housing of the LEDs themselves being plastic. The solar panel on the back of the unit is able to be angled and secured for optimal sunlight charging. A remote is included to enable turning on and off the light as well as adjust the brightness and set timer modes. My problem with the unit was that this light is only able to be set to dusk till dawn mode (I think). Although there is a button on the controller that says AUTO that enables dusk to dawn mode it does not turn off that mode. Even if you turn off the light using the controller it will wait a little and than go back into that mode. The instructions were pretty confusing and messing with the different settings on the controller I was unable to get it out of that mode. I originally wanted the light to be an outdoor wireless light source for our small pickleball court but dont need it to stay on all night long. Although it's super bright the inability to turn it on/off manually without the light sensor triggering it is a big downside for our use.

This light is extremely bright! I plugged it up in my living room as I was unpackaging it and it blinded me. It was that bright right out of the box! It's as bright as the solar street light that I paid over $100 for. It's so easy to install that I didn't need to read the instructions. I'm very pleased.

I have ordered a few of these solar street lights for my yard since my neighborhood doesn’t have streetlights, and it can get very dark at night. This is the first one I’ve owned that has a metal housing, and the quality is immediately noticeable. The construction feels durable, and the light itself seems well-made. The separate solar panel is a great feature - it allows you to adjust its position to maximize sunlight exposure, which isn't always an option with other models.The brightness is impressive, providing excellent coverage across a wide area. The different brightness levels and modes are useful, especially the dusk-to-dawn feature. However, the instructions leave a lot to be desired. While they explain how to connect the solar power cord, they don’t provide any guidance on installation, such as the recommended mounting height for optimal performance. The packaging is also very basic - a plain brown box with no real guidance on setup, so I had to refer to the product images online.Overall, this is a well-built and highly functional solar light, but better installation instructions would have made the experience smoother.
