Great strong brackets for 4x4 posts. They are well built and easy to install onto concrete or wood or any other drillable surface. They are strong enough to surface mount your 4x4 posts for many projects.

As you can see in my photos, these post brackets do not fit a 6x6 post. I tried a 6x6 redwood post and it was about 1/4" inch too small. The 6x6 Pressure Treated post almost fit but I still would have needed to sand down in order to try and squeeze it in. I don't recommend these brackets unless you don't mind notching your post in order to fit.
