Work great but 2nd purchase from the same seller sent "spiked" not "spikeless" under same product number & description. Mispackaged because pkg. barcode sticker were the same as on first order which was correct "spikeless" product. Returned & ordered from another seller. Got what I wanted.

My trek from the parking lot into work is often slippery in the winter, as I arrive before facilities folks do. I got these to fit on my normal shoe, and I hoped they would not stab me or scratch my bag when I take them off. They seem to fit the bill. Alas, I have to admit that I haven't been able to test them on ice yet as I ordered them in June and it's only August at the time of this review. I tested them on my laminate flooring my house and they grip that well! Will update if there are issues come winter time.

I sent these to my son in law in Montana because they get a lot of ice and snow (as well they both hike a lot year round). He said they fit good and worked really amazing out on the ice. He also liked how easy it is to put on and take off when you need to switch.

These size 9-12 cleats stretch enough to fit over the bottom of my size 10.5 shoes, and there's a bit more give, but I'm not sure how easily they'd stretch to fit size 12. They're knobby like tire treads, and the rubber feels grippy! They should do well on ice, if not QUITE as well as spikes or metal studs would. They will certainly be less destructive on other surfaces!

I bought the large size and it fits my size 10.5 winter boot but is too big for my size 10.5 trail runner. I was hoping to bring these on hikes in areas where I'll encounter slippery wet rocks to give me an option to improve my footing but I'm typically wearing my trail runners at that time. I only wear boots during the winter and usually there is snow or ice down at that time so I would likely be looking at crampons or micro spikes for that. I would suggest that anyone else looking to use these with trail runners consider going with small vs large unless you have very big feet.Other than the size, I like how these work and they do seems like they will add extra traction over standard trail shoes.

I purchase spike cleats for about half the price. Granted they are not as durable and have thinner rubber and I feel these will hold up for much longer. I do worry about how these will perform on slick ice. Last year we had an ice storm and had to cleat up to go out to do our barn chores. Hubby took a fall and is still suffering from an elbow injury. The rubber is sticky and is sipped (like they do for winter tires) to give it more surface area. Having spikes puts you on top of the ice when it is so hard they won't dig in. They also mar sensitive surfaces so you have to be very careful where you are wearing them. The idea behind these is with the soft supple sipped rubber it will better grip the ice while also allowing you to wear them in more places (like ski lodges, etc). I don't think they can replace spiked cleats but I do think these have their place and will be suitable many different situations where metal spike cleats will not. Best option is to have both on hand so you have the flexibility depending on the weather and circumstances. They seem well made.

I bought these for improved wet weather traction, primarily, when going on tours and excursions where there's a lot of slick marble & tile surfaces. I also got these because grips that have cleats, spikes, or studs could be damaging to surfaces found in antiquity/historical sites . . . which probably wouldn't be appreciated. They seem to work very well. Another big consideration for me was durability. In the past, I have purchased cleated grips that DID NOT hold up for more than 3 or 4 uses. This was due to the fact that they would stretch out so much that they'd become pretty much useless; falling off or shifting to one side where the traction surface would be off to one side thus rendering them ineffective. HOWEVER, after testing these particular Spikeless Ice Cleats for several weeks, they seem to be holding up very well. No overstretch, a continued firm fit, and good traction!
