I hate it because I love this tool for my daughter, I think its going to be great for learning and strengthening spins. However the durability was terrible and it is already falling apart within the first week of using it. If not for this I'd rate it a 5 star, maybe we just got a bad one.

My daughter uses the Spin Dr. to practice her curve, drop, screw and rise. The weight is proportionate to a real softball and you get immediate feedback on ball rotation. She has added it to her warm up before games as well. There is a heavier version that I just purchased for her as well, and it should help her with finger, wrist and hand strength.

Has been a great training tool for my daughter. She hasn’t mastered the curve yet but this helped her with fastball, rise, and screwball so far.

Coaches and trainers alike can probably recommend various tools around the house to use for different pitch types, but this was great because it combines all of those into one. We would generally use one type of thing to practice change of motion and then something else like a hockey puck to practice drop pitches, and so on, but this eliminates the need for all those different things because you can use just this one for practicing almost any pitch type. Love it! And all you need is something soft to throw it into like a pillow or a couch and you can use it pretty much anywhere it doesn’t have to be in the open or at a facility or a field or what not.

We use this spin tool constantly for feeling fast fingers around our spins. The weight & feel is so much better than a spinner (hockey puck-style).
