I sold all my guitars years ago having lost interest in playing. I owned many American and Japanese Fender Strats and Teles along with G&L's, Japan made Fernandes', and higher end Yamahas. Decided to get back into playing a bit again without sinking too much money into a guitar. After seeing all the good reviews on the Squier Classic Vibes, I decided to try one and when a great deal came up on Amazon Warehouse, I purchased it. 1st the guitar arrived completely new with all original packaging. The box showed minimal wear and tear so couldn't be happier with the condition. The actual guitar is every bit the quality of any American and Made/Crafted in Japan Fenders I've owned. The only difference being the quality of the hardware and electronics. Even then they function just fine and the pickups sound great. The paint and vintage tint finish on the neck are flawless and the neck pocket is as tight as it gets. I've had far more expensive guitars with 1/8" gaps on both sides at the body. Frets are nicely finished with no sharp edges or low/high spots that I've noticed. Really one of the best values out there in a guitar. On a side note, there was a negative review left on the exact same guitar I purchased from another individual, complaining the pickguard was all scratched up on a new guitar. The photo he posted shows all the plastic still on the guard and pickups! Take many negative reviews with grain of salt and consider the source.

Swapped out loaded pick guard from a player Strat, and had a decent set up done. The body and the neck are actually pretty good all things considered. Timers are average at best. It’s my work guitar, and plays pretty nice.

Then only caveat with these inexpensive guitars I believe is the quality of the frets. Soft metal frets will wear out over time and cost of a re-fret is not much less than another one of these new.

These are excellent quality guitars. The Indonesian made products are much better than the Chinese made versions. The feel and sound of the guitar is great. There are no blemishes. I will be holding on to this one.

FENDER DELIBERATELY SENT ME A USED VIA AMAZON A DEMO B-STOCK MODEL SOLD AS NEW! THE GUITAR WAS OBVIOUSLY DROPPED- BENT! I BOUGHT IT NEW AT $309. A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER IT IS $419! OBVIOUSLY, THEY WANTED TO GET RID OF THE GUITAR-THAT IS WHY IT WAS OVER A HUNDRED DOLLARS LESS! SHAME ON YOU FENDER! I WILL LOOK ASKANCE FOR NOW ON REGARDING FENDER GUITARS.THE NEW RED DECAL WAS NOT EVEN ON THE GUITAR! I AM SO UPSET! THE LITTLE THAT I PLAYED SOUNDED AWFUL! NOT ALNICO PICKUPS!

Pros:- The pick-ups while not amazing, are nice and clear. lots of high end without the hissing. the 5-way switch gives you lots of options, great for a beginner to find their vibe.- Awesome classic look- the neck on the one I got rules. no sharp edges, frets are clean, bending is very easy. All round comfortable to play.- supremely light to hold or wear with no neck dive.Cons:- This is more a personal thing, but I hate the volume knob placement, I'm always rolling it down by accident- The old school tuners are not my favourite, stability is only OK, would suggest Fender's locking tuner system.- Action came pretty high, so I had to do a bit of a set up for string height, though the intonation was very well done. All and all this was a great buy.

Very satisfied with this guitar, like any guitar had to be set up to play perfect, truss rod was giving too much relief, strings were nasty possibly rusty so changed, slight bit of intonation (nothing serious, could have left it). Action was perfect where I want it after adjusting the truss rod, thought I was going to have to lower it, but the neck was just that much bowed forward. After all that, it plays great, electronics are leagues ahead of a Squier Bullet (obviously), sounds more like an actual vintage Fender. Neck is just like 70s necks too, can get sticky on your hands depending on conditions. I just wipe it down with a dry microfiber cloth before and after I play and it keeps it slick.Trem system is useable as well, but like any cheap guitar(even expensive, if not Floyd Rose), you are going to have to lube the nut / string trees.

This guitar for the value is ok. Some problems I had with my particular example is that the frets were really buzzy and the tuners were a little jumpy although I may have just got a lemon. The stock pickups sound pretty good especially the neck pickup but I just replaced the bridge pickup with a Duncan JB and it sounds massive. So bottom line I would recommend it. -ps if you don’t like really glossy necks you may not like the neck on this.
