Easy to use - Designed to be tough, durable and easy to use. Simply attach the safety s-hooks of your transon strap to designated tie down points on the watercraft and trailer. Pull any excess webbing through the ratchet. Position the ratchet away from your watercraft or trailer by sliding the ratchet up or down. Then tighten by pulling the ratchet handle up and down until the tie-down is tightly secured. Do not over tension as this could damage your watercraft.
Made in New Zealand - Our boat trailer transom tie down straps are manufactured in a state of the art factory using Swiss weaving equipment and UV stabilized polypropylene yarn from Spain. I've used these ratcheting straps for about 6 months now to strap my dinghy to the swim platform on my boat. The straps are sturdy enough, the stainless ratchets work well and there is no rust so far, but the PVC coated S-hooks have a significant amount of rust on them. The PVC wears away leaving bare metal to rust, and the clips also rust. The rust subsequently left ugly rust stains on my white swim platform. I removed the hooks and replaced with brass hooks. Hopefully, they will not rust.

These are good and heavy but a bit awkward to work with because of the way they double back.

Bought these to use as transom straps because they're required by law here in the Sunshine State. I've had several different brands in the past and they all serve their intended purpose. However, these are much better quality than the boat store brands, the ratchet mechanism works very well, and being slightly smaller width webbing makes them more adaptable to hull and trailer geometries. I'd buy them again. BTW - to prevent chafing where the straps wrap around the transom I added a small piece of bunk carpet held on with Velcro. Wouldn't be a bad idea for the Aerofast crew to offer something similar as an option.

This is a great product that everyone should have when towing a boat. I have a 28' Cape Horn and this makes the tie-down procedure a snap. Great looking product also. I like the fit and finish of the stainless option.

These can be used for more than just transom tie downs. I use them to secure my golf cart. I needed short ratchet straps to work well with my trailer and the distance to the cart tie down points. The safety latches on the hooks prevent accidental un-coupling and the stainless steel ratchets should provide years of service.

These are good quality straps and are easy to use. Make sure you get sufficient length for your boat. 4 foot was just right for the position of the hooks on transom and trailer for my 25’ boat. I recommend you also buy the padding to protect hull.
