Warning. If you are looking for a nice polished finish, these are not for you. I bought 16 of these and they all have scuffs and scratches. They are not a finished product. We will need to try to buff and polish ourselves.

True to its description, these plates are very strong. If you want to drill it out bigger, that's not going to happen unless you have a machine drill and a table clamp.I used these plates with an oversized cleat that takes 5/16 bolts, but I filled the cleat holes with epoxy and drilled them out to 1/4". The nylon cleats I am replacing used 1/4" bolts. Guaranteed the 8" ss cleats with the same size bolts and these plates (instead of washers) will have more holding strength.
