Assembly is a project that requires 2 people at times. It’s a typical bolt up project in that you have to leave everything loose until the very end. Mounting is a lot easier with 2 people. All bolts are fit with nylon stop nuts-a real bonus. The rack is heavy! That means high quality steel. Good purchase. Stromberg Carlson is a quality manufacturer.

For starters they forgot to ship ones rear legs for it. But I contacted the company and they got one out to me right away I just missed my day that was off to put this together cuz of this. But as I put it together there was bolts and nuts missing and I didn't feel like waiting around the next time I was available to do it I just went to town and bought my own stuff and finished putting it together. Also all the holes in the plate to the main tray don't even match with the bolts you have to drill everything out all of them. But it when it's all finished it is a nice sturdy product. I was interested in some of their other products they got but I wonder if this would be the same issue across their board there?

Mounted on 2023 Keystone Bullet Premier 29RKPR - carries my 5000w Predator Gen/Inverter as expected.Very Sturdy. Assembly went smoothly with just myself.I have a ProPrideP3 sway control hitch on my trailer as well - wasn’t sure if I’d have room but I managed to get it installed without to much trouble.I removed the propane tank cover - drilled out the pop rivets and placed the two pieces back around the tanks and used heavy duty zip ties in place of the pop rivets to hold the cover together. I had seen videos where the covers were put back together with hinges and straps - these methods required cutting and hacking up the cover with a saw - I’ll have to snip the zip ties and pop the tanks out and re zip tie back together when I refill the tanks- not that big a deal for me. Zip ties are cheap and I have plenty. Easy enough solution for me and my tank covers don’t look like they have been through a buzz saw.The back itself - glad I pulled the trigger and purchased it.

Bought this because most music festivals require you to have an onboard generator and not an external. So instead of paying outrageous prices for power hook up, I purchased a predator 3500 Generator which this holds with extra room to spare. Now I can free up some space in my truck bed for other things. It did come with bolts to thread through the main supports if you want to drill a hole, but it also has threading for stabilizer bolts which are also included. If you plan on off-roading with your RV I would recommend drilling the hole and feeding the extra bolts through. Overall it is very sturdy and will hold plenty of weight.

Investing in the RV cargo tray above the trailer tongue has proven to be a pivotal step in retrofitting my 25-foot camper. My goal was to integrate a mini-split system for energy savings, and eventually, a full solar setup to power the mini-split. This cargo tray provided the perfect foundation, showcasing remarkable sturdiness and stability. It doesn't budge or wobble, even during long drives, making it an essential component for my energy-efficient camper upgrade. While the setup process does involve a considerable number of nuts and bolts, the result is well worth the effort. The tray's construction exudes durability, instilling confidence in its ability to support the weight of the mini-split and future solar panels. Though the instructions might be a bit lacking, they're navigable with a bit of patience and basic problem-solving skills. For those with even modest intelligence, the retrofitting journey with this cargo tray is a manageable and worthwhile endeavor. In the end, the price is justified by the product's robustness and the promising foundation it provides for energy-efficient camper modifications.

This tray is EXTREMELY well made. All of the bolts and hardware are first class. The entire unit is completely adjustable. Once you establish exactly where you want it, THEN tighten up the bolts. I had to move where I was placing the brackets, etc., but once moved, it fit perfectly. I had wanted to place the tray back as far as possible in order to remove my batteries for storage. This actually placed the tray way too tight against the front of the travel trailer, so I had to move all of the brackets. For whatever it is worth, you WILL need to replace any hard-cover for your LP bottles with a soft cover. This will enable you to remove the LP tanks for filling. Otherwise you WILL have to remove the tray.....and I do not believe I would want to go thru this process each and every time. You do need to have a buddy or two to at FIRST place the tray where you want it to be. It is not a one-person job. The tray is well built, sturdy, and heavy. I have a newer (2019) Nash 22H travel trailer - and this unit seems to have a well-built, longer tongue. The Stromberg Tray is a perfect match. You can readily adjust it around batteries, LP tanks, Equalizer brackets, etc. I did have to have one of my metal works welding buddies take one of the "lips" off from the front of the "T" shaped bracket that holds the brace for the front. It did not sit level on the tongue because of the added electric front jack. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! EXTREMELY WELL BUILT!! (And it will hold considerable weight. You can stand on it and wash the front of your rig - IF you weigh less than 300#!!!)
