It's a turner. It flips and turns.Never fails, and handle stays cool on a commercial flat.

The only reason why I am giving this spatula a 3 star review is because the metal material could be a little bit more sturdy. There is a lot of flex going on when there shouldn't be.I do how ever love the handle it's nice and comfortable. I use to cook at Habachi and sushi restaurant.
