Pros: Mixing and pouring is easy, plus it sets up within 45-60” because it has a thicker pour. Low VOC, low odor readily available on Amazon.Cons: Remains flexible for a long period (30 + days). Their support says it will go back to original shape, has memory and eventually will get solid hard. I’ve had experiences where the flex didn’t go back to the original shape, then got hard and could no longer use. Great for coasters, wall art when fixed to a solid surface. Not for other practical applications like charcuterie river trays. I want something that’s solid in 72hrs and doesn’t flex.

Love SCC products. They take the guess work out of using epoxy. I have used it to redo my countertops, for craft projects and for this table I made with natural wood. Less bubbles and a consistent experience.

I currently use Stone Coat epoxy and pigments exclusively for all of my epoxy projects and have had none of the common issues usually associated with other products that I have used. As long as I can keep dust out I can end up with a flawless finish every time. Stone coat is easier to use than other epoxies and levels beautifully.I would recommend Stone Coat to epoxy to anyone that doesn’t want to waste epoxy.

Stonecoat Super cast is excellent for river pours or larger voids. I also like it for filling large bowl blanks with scraps of hardwood for lathe turning. The super cast cures slowly, allowing plenty of time for bubbles to release. Still, if your pour is large, like 4 or 5+ gallons, split it into 2 pours 24 hours apart to avoid any potential overheating. Cures nice and translucent, or takes pigments and powders like a champ.

Great for live edge epoxy river headboard for a king-size bed. Took about 3 days to completely harden, but my garage was around 50-degrees which is much cooler than the ideal working temperature. Even with the slow cure, it worked out great.
