It has one job. All it has to do is open a can. After a string of crappy chinese can openers, where actually opening cans was not assured, and bending or leaving unopened spots was far too common, I recall fondly the days when even the cheapest one you grabbed at the supermarket would at least open cans.I tried to recall the last one I had that was reliable. Vaguely, I remembered, swing something...... Swing away, that was it. I wondered if they were still in business. I was elated to find that they were. And this matches my recollection. I see now, they are imported and that killed the buzz. But, it looks the same and I thought it was worth a try. I screwed it to a cabinet and gave it a try. Amazing, a miracle, it opens cans! I don't have to go looking for a P38. It looks like it might not be as stout as I remember, but it opens cans for now. It wasn't cheap but it opens cans.

Love these can openers! I have arthritis in my hands and these are extremely easy for me to use. They seem very durable and user friendly. Electric can openers are way too expensive, these are better!

This has always been my favorite can opener for many decades.Old one finally stopped working after 12 years.Don't look around.Just buy this one and be happy.

Gigantic mistake doing so. It had been used as it had food on it where they open or attempted to open can. It was somehow bent enough that you could not raise the lever to attach a can. The gears were stripped causing it to not turn fully without having to go backwards which is wrong way to use. The box was torn where the item had been pulled out ; it was not labeled USED!!! Went to Ace hardware got a brand new one, exact brand for less also. It works perfectly. Must purchase longer screws to attach to wall. Having NO problems with this one. I wish I had videos this before returning so you could have seen what Iām saying about it.

Bought this as a gift for my daughter, we used to have one like it many many years ago but I figured it wouldn't be as good as the one we used to have, But I was wrong! This is just like our old one, very sturdy and well made. Works great too!!

Easy to use, reliable, can be easily removed for cleaning. This is my third one since leaving home 51 years ago.
