We can not get the seat to be straight. Even if we did you can see that the seat does not cover the toilet seat bowl so when you sit down your legs touch the bowl under the seat. The color is great and it functions fine.

It does look good now that it is installed, and works fine. But, every single step of installation was difficult and required 3 separate visits to the hardware store. Here is a list of issues...(i) the input hose has to be attached before you set the commode in place, as the hook up is within a cavity in the back-we had to buy a flexible supply line to do this; (ii) the water valve must be directly behind the commode, or it will obstruct the commode itself--we had to cut away sheet rock, switch off the house water supply, cut the water pipe, and reinstall a new valve, etc.; (iii) we used a plastic/rubber gasket (not wax)-highly recommended you do this; (iv) need a strong person-not room in our toilet for two people to hold the commode-to hold up the commode and line it up to fit over the flange bolts, which are within the commode housing-looks great but makes this extremely difficult-then set it down gently. Our guy had to hold it up for about ten minutes to line up. squeeze the water hose into the cavity behind, etc.; (v) securing and tightening the flange bolts was extremely difficult as the opening to do this are very small...you either a very small hand with at least 7 fingers, or special long needle-nose type pliers. (Note that NO tools were supplied with the unit, which I don't really mind, but you will need these tools.) (vi) The toilet seat installation instructions are bad--I got two sets of these, one drawing shows the hinges for the seat lined up front-to-back, the other shows them at 90 degrees to the front-back axis. Both are wrong, you will need to angle them to match the holes in the toilet seat; (vii) the lid for the tank has holes that match holes in the tank, but there are not inserts to secure the lid; (vii) we had to fool with the press-down screw settings to get the flush mechanism to work-this seems like something that could be done at the factory; (viii) had to fool with the tank interior settings to get the right amount of water to "reside" in the toilet bowl-it still seems a bit low (European style) for my liking. Total time spent, including trips to the hardware store, was 9 hours.

In the middle of remodeling the bathroom, we wanted to go with a black toilet and found one at our local store, went on Amazon and found the same toilet just a lot cheaper, I was Leary about ordering this one piece toilet, figured it would show up in 4 pieces lol. Showed up well packaged and not a thing wrong with it. It was really easy to put in, the trickiest part was getting the seat where we wanted. The soft closing toilet seat is great. Still have a ways to go, we also went with the swiss Madison shower base, easy to install too, just gotta put up shower walls yet. Good times.
