This is a replacement after the body shop painted my original by mistake. They swapped out fine and Have gloss look like factory but handle doesn't pop out when opening you have to be sure and lift and pull. PSA. There is a front and rear hinge you want to put on lid, then connect to pack makes it a lot easier for me by myself swapping out it all out. Thanks

I have a TCMT tour pack and never liked the black hardware. The chrome hardware looks a lot better and blends in nicely with all of the chrome on my bike. TCMT is notorious for not having instructions with their parts. Most of the time it’s fine. While not a huge deal, it cost me time because with the hinges there is a left and a right. I fought with the wrong one not knowing that. Dropped it for the day and the thought occurred to try the other the next day. It worked. The pic highlights how they should be installed. The fit on everything was good.

Update**, after contacting the seller my lock was replaced as requested. I only asked for that to be replaced and they sent me a new and it works great. It's and exact fit and the holes line up nice and tight, i just used a tool to line up the holes for the screws. ..........My delivery was delayed after paying extra to expedite quicker. I received the tour pack latch kit and lock DOES NOT WORK. Can the lock be replaced? I'm unable to contact the seller through Amazon site.

Same weight, feel and look as the original OEM HD trunk latch. Took less than 30 minutes to install and that time also includes looking for my Loctite so the screws wont back out. I took the original lock out of my original latch and installed it into this new latch. No one will know it is not an original HD trunk latch.I will update if something goes wrong, but I doubt it will.

Good product , I went with black it's nice looking. My other latch was never good, and just kept getting worse. This solved the problem. The other one I got 50000 miles out of will see how this last. I do abuse my tour pak, on it and in it is my motel, restaurant, food and kitchen when I'm loaded and rolling. All summer and part of the winter. On the road again, can't wait to get on the road again.

Feels weak like Harleys. Seams it will come loose just like Harleys. Time will tell.
