Holds enough water so that you can fill it up to about 3/4 full and still have a 16 0unce cup of coffee. The top screws on easily and the basket is deep enough to hold a lot of coffee. We bought two and are happy with them. Now, my husband does not feel cheated with a skimpy cup of coffee.

I think this is the first review I’ve ever written in my life, and I’m writing it because the seller doesn’t have many reviews, so I want to help since this is a great Italian coffee maker.Ever since I was very young, we’ve always had Italian coffee makers at home. I was replacing mine because it was getting a bit old, and since I use it daily—twice a day—it needed to be replaced. I prefer stainless steel because, in my experience, other materials tend to get damaged or wear out easily.I have to say that this coffee maker is not only made of high-quality material but is also beautiful. It doesn’t leak, even when the water boils, and works perfectly. Highly recommended!

I love it with one design flaw, the lid was not given much thought. It resembles the lid of a milk dispenser at a diner. The entire moka is solid until you get to the lid, very flimsy feels like it can easily be broken

I recently purchased the Vaolvplant 9 cup stainless steel moka pot as a way to stop spending 5+ dollars a day on a premium americano. I did not want the maintenance of a $500+ exspresso machine, but wanted better flavor than my old drip machine. This is what I learned. 1. I went with stainless steel instead of aluminum as a personal choice. 2. Rinse your new moka pot and brew a throw away pot of coffee. 3. The key to good coffee is fresh whole beans that are not burned, a grinder that let's you fully control the grind size and good quality filtered water. 4. I was able to get a hand ginder (under $50) that let me control the grind size from very course to flour like. For the moka pot, I grind to a size slightly less than table salt but more course than flour. 5. It was recommended by some youtube videos that you fill the belly of your moka pot with pre-heated hot water. I found that this made the remaining assembly treacherous once you add coffee to the basket and attach the base to the kettle. 6. Fill the basket full with coffee otherwise water/ steam is able to move around the coffee grinds (resulting in weak coffee) instead of through them for a flavorful brew. Personally, I tamp my coffee lightly with the bottom of a measuring cup even though the instructions say to leave loose. 7. Remember your moka pot is making expresso strength coffee not 9 cups of regular coffee. I get about one cup of expresso that I can combine with hot, filtered water to make an awesome Americano. 8. Some folks complained of rust. It is important to hand rinse after use within a few hours. I don't recommend leaving the coffee or coffee grounds in the pot until you get home from work. The acids in the coffee will certainly degrade your investment if not properly cared for. Hand dry or reassemble and heat dry for a minute or two back on the stove top. 9. When screwing the base to the kettle, I recommend not torqing by the handle, but rather by placing your thumb where the handle attaches to the pot. This avoids breaking the handle. This is just my experience...I assume no liability. Here's to a good brewing experience!
