We tried a new way for our chickens and they love them.

Bought these a while back and I’m just now getting around to building a PVC waterer for a chicken coop. Drilled my holes as the listing says with an 11/32” drill bit. First two I have tried so far come right out after I screw them in. See picture, the threads are so cheap they just collapse as I hand turned them. Tried second one same thing. Not going to keep trying all of them. Waste of time and money. So I can’t even begin to say if they leak or not.

I was watering my chickens every day because they wasted so much water. I got these. And once I figured out what size drill bit to use they were easy to install. I was worried the chickens wouldn't be able to figure them out, but there was no problem They pecked the lever out of curiosity and had enough sense to drink the water. Now I only have to water twice a week. These are worth buying.

I have used these nipples several times and each one has worked great. I did have 1 piece in the last bag I bought that was the red plastic with no stainless steel internal. I would like to add that I have bought named brand nipples in my local feed store and every one leaked through the internal valve. These are all I order now.

Used a 5/16 drill bit to make a hole for our chickie waterer. This didn’t come with any sort of instructions. We did have to use some flex seal to fill any leaks with our first one. But then I saw in a review to use a 5/16 size drill bit and that helped tremendously! We did have a few faulty pieces that leak, but most work great.

No waste. Water is clean. Chickens started using it quickly. Easily installed. Had to use tape due to some leaking.
