  • Stands up to frost and high winds

The Deck Foot Anchor gives you strength and security similar to a poured concrete footing without the labor, time and cost. Quickly and easily install ground anchored footings for freestanding decks, pergolas, sheds, ramps and more - in minutes! The Deck Foot Anchor stands up to the frost. It does not heave up from the ground like a fence post that is literally popped out of the ground a little bit each year. The Deck Foot Anchor remains anchored to the ground and moves with the soil as it expands up or settles down during freeze or thaw cycles. Use only with freestanding decks, unless the soil does not freeze in your area.

Regularly build things around my property and these anchors save me a day or two on every project.Four anchors and I can set posts/girder beams for a 12x12 shed in a few hours working by myself with ZERO grading. No way is that happening with concrete. They’re extremely reliable (I’ve driven around 20 so far) and rock solid once in the ground.DO NOT SHORTCUT. You need a high-quality 1/2” chuck impact driver and the correct 6-side deep sockets.Remove organics and establish a good gravel base. Drive the auger till the plate is touching the ground, then drive the plate with the nut. This pulls the auger out a little and compresses the plate into the ground for an extremely tight hold.

The auger bolt broke off in the middle of driving it in the ground, it looks much beefier in pics than it seems in person. I used the plate, but I wouldnt pay this price for it again. The auger is hollow, I don't know if all are but performance was disappointing.

Love these anchors. Used them on 3 small detached decks and they worked out great.I saved a lot of time by not having to dig and pour cement footings. If your installing for the first time take your time read and follow the instructions. I ran into issues because of not following the instructions but was able to correct them. On each deck I got more proficient in using these anchors and I got better and better at saving time. I'll admit I didn't have applications with large stony soil.Small stones can veer the anchor screws out of plum but that can be adjusted as you drill down and with a helper to adjust the plum. The look of the plate may noy be aesthetically pleasing but that can be resolved with lattice.hope this helps in your decision.
