My coffee urn (Elite Gourmet CCM-035) was leaking at the spout and the seller/manufacturer was less than helpful with a replacement spout. I really didn't want to have to buy a whole new new urn but the replacement spouts I did find had crummy reviews. After much digging into the black hole of Amazon I found this lovely little ball valve.Amazingly enough it fit the original spout hole without having to modify anything. Note: the hole in the urn for the spout is square but the ball value screw post, washer and nut fit just perfectly and sealed up nice and tight. The shape of the hole didn't matter, it just screwed right in and voila! So far with a month of pretty heavy use on an always on, very hot urn the seals are holding well and NO LEAKS!!! The handle stays a comfortable temp and turns easily. The metal spout does get hot since the urn and liquid inside gets hot (PSA for the idiots who need a warning) but there is no reason to actually touch that part. The water flows out much, MUCH faster than the original plastic spout that came with the urn so no looking away while your cup fills or you're asking for a mess. Its not a pretty solution but it works pretty well for what I need it for.

I am a homebrewer. Had to replace a valve on my fermenting tank. Looked around locally a few had it in stock. Very pricey for stainless steel. Decided to look at Amazon. Found exactly what I had to get. At a very low price saved on gas and time and got the product I needed delivered on time. Recommend Amazon for your brewing needs.

This is a great spigot addition for any pot. A brew pot will run you $100+. A 7 gallon pot stock pot and this spigot totaled just under 60 bucks. An aluminum pot is easy to drill with a step bit that only cost me ten bucks. I drilled the hole just a smidge smaller and was able to "screw" the spigot into the hole creating a really tight seal with the provided silicon washer. I filled it with 6 gallons of water to test for leaks and it's water tight. I'll be brewing a 5 gallon batch of IPA later this week.

Good quality fit and finish. If you are installing on on a stainless pot- save yourself grief and buy a good step drill bit. Still it took a good 15 min of drilling. O-ring goes on the OUTSIDE- if you put it on the inside it won't seal and possibly break. I still used additional RTV silicone sealer on the outside for leak free insurance.

I drilled out the hole on our Berkley with a SS cutting step drill (Berkey spigot hole is 9/16" I believe...this spigot needs a 3/4" hole. I then used a file to make the hole bigger on the metal washer that came with our (Oakleaf brand) Stainless beverage spigot (that LEAKED A LOT), and cut the holes on the silicone rubber washers from that spigot as well...I installed this spigot with a silicone washer on the outside and a silicone washer then metal washer inside. Great spigot for a Berkey water filter or similar...IF you can make the modifications. The big difference as I can see is that ALL the stainless spigots for Berkeys and the like have a siliconeized plastic stopper that the stainless ball valve closed against...this wears out and the darn things leak (we've tried 3 total...2 brands...all leakers). This one is ALL stainless inside. No leaks now after a few weeks heavy use...and I have hopes that this one will actualy last.

Works great; no leaks. Used a step drill bit to drill the hole. The pipe measures 3/4” so drilled one step wider than that. I think it was 13/16”. Fit perfectly. I was worried the gasket wouldn’t hold up with the heat. Almost had my oil to 350° and the seal is working great.

I bought this to put on my stainless steel turkey fryer. I had a friend help me drill a 7/8” hole with his drill press. It was a perfect fit and we tested it with water and it didn’t leak water and the valve worked great! Thanksgiving is next week so it will be the ultimate test. I’ll post and updated comment afterwards. But the valve wasn’t greasy or greased up like the other reviews said.Update: I deep fried a turkey today and it worked great!! Definitely a good buy!
