What they do is get to hot and they swell out causing slipping and shuttering,after awhile they come apart and through the pump here we come,so it's good to buy a good billet cover converter,they last,I have a 2013 GMC Rocky Ridge I'm putting a higher stall in mine,1900,2200rpm

6L80 torque converters are common problems and lead to costly repairs, so far this one is doing good! Hopefully the clutch material has been upgraded by now!
