Extremely easy to set up and a great insurance policy for water leaks.

As far as the product itself I'm happy. It was easy to install and it works great. The alarm on the device itself is not very loud, but it immediately sends a notification to my phone via the TreatLife app. My only disappointment is its integration with Google, which is why I bought it over other similarly priced options. It says it integrates with Google, but other than reporting the battery level of each sensor it does nothing. I was hoping I could set it up to display alarms on my Google Nest Hub or see the status of each sensor like I can in the TreatLife app, but no luck. Just battery level. So if you're buying for smart home integration don't bother, but if you're looking for some relatively inexpensive peace of mind, you've found it.

I keep adding smart devices to my home. Of course, the sexiest ones turn things off and on, but sometimes you need more basic things to help keep your house safe and functioning. I'd heard about water sensors and thought it would be worth trying. They really don't do much, but could prove their value if there truly ever is a water leak. Having already invested in several Treatlife devices, this one made sense. There's not a lot to these devices (four sensors and a ZigBee hub). They are small and somewhat inconspicuous. Having a separate hub was something I had hoped to avoid, but it seems like this is a technical necessity considering the need for the always-on monitoring that is required. With the hub, there is a little more setup involved, but it was quite straightforward and simple to do.I did have some challenges following their instructions regarding app notifications, but this was mainly due to all the different flavors of Android out there, all of which they could not cover in their instructions. I reached out to the company and they were helpful to provide clarification and took some of my feedback for expanding the instructions. This is one product that I hope I never from. But, I have peace of mind in case there ever is a problem.

Since I have a back-up sump battery which is on one side of my basement, I thought that this product would be good for the area on the other side of my basement with the water heater. The setup and connectivity to the hub and to the app on my phone was super simple and quick, that I thought of where else I could place the sensors. I have one near my dishwasher, which was a total bonus because we've had issues with our dishwasher in the past. I will get a warning notice, so that if for some reason we aren't home, we can ask someone else to check on our house for us and minimize potential damage. I also figured to put another of the sensor near the sump areas. Even though I have a back up battery and pump, this will now notify me by phone app if there is an issue. I am pleased with this product, and it was even more valuable than I expected!

I am quite impressed with these sensors and really glad that I realized they are Zigbee instead of wifi - the only thing wifi in this kit is the hub. The audible alarm on them for when water is detected is pretty nice and a very reasonable volume. Pairing each sensor with my existing Zigbee network could not have been easier - put in batteries, hold button for ~5 seconds, done. Instead of the hub that came with these, I am using one I already had that I have connected up to Home Assistant via zigbee2mqtt. One of the pictures I attached shows the size pretty well as you can compare the AAA batteries to the overall size. While on the topic of batteries, a pro to these using AAAs is that rechargeable ones would be a viable option whereas you can't do that with coin-cell batteries. One thing that you can see in the screenshots is that these sensors are, like so many others, rebranded Tuya ones. When used with my own hub, this is not a pro or a con, just a fact. Another thing I like that shows in the screenshots is the fact that there both a battery percentage and a sensor specifically to indicate that the battery is very low.Another thing that is nice on these, and unique verses other sensors I have, is that the very instant I tested the physical sensor every sensor entity within Home Assistant was populated immediately. Other sensors I have, for example, tend to not report battery state for a while. My closing thoughts on these sensors are that I will absolutely buy them again so long as they don't eat through batteries faster than expected.

I installed 2 of the 4 water detection sensors last weekend at a vacation home. No issues while I was there. It took a while to get them set up. Integration with alexa seemed easy but not sure with these devices what benefit there is. Arrived home Mon and by Thurs morning both devices were alarming there was water present. Had a neighbor go check..no water. Not a drop. One device stopped alarming after about an hour. The other continued alarming. After 3 hours I found the customer service # using google since it is nowhere to be found in their app. I did get a human but basicslly said they couldn't help and to email this other dept. Of course it is an email not in the app. He indicated they were "very responsive". I emailed and no response. The device continued alarming until into the eve and reduced the battery to 30%. Next day, still no response and the same device began alarming again. Emailed the service again...this is now Friday...and still no response. The device continued alarming all day friday until it killed the entire battery. So as of now, I consider these sensors junk. They have caused consternation for no reason. Based my experience I would find some other water detection sensors.
